“Appa’s home!”

“Ya Kim Jongin! Clean after your kids! There’s poop everywhere!”

It was another day in the life of Kim Jongin, and yet, his flatmate, Baekhyun, was at his wits’ end that day for the stench he can’t spray away with his third can of air freshener. Baekhyun finds Jongin’s ‘kids’ adorable, yes, but the puddles of pee, clatter of poop, and the unpleasant smell the kids emit just ticks him off. Baekhyun loved the idea of a clean, tidy, home with an aroma of scented candles, but it was just impossible with three kids running around and eating on the floor, using the carpet in the foyer as their toilet, except for the youngest, which prefers to pee on Baekhyun’s shoes, much to his annoyance. It was just impossible, he thought.

They live together in a humble apartment in Seoul at the north of Han River, just two blocks away from the arts university both of them are working at. If Baekhyun had his way, he would’ve left already the stinking house to Jongin and live with his boyfriend - that is if he actually had one, which clearly he doesn’t have.

Jongin, on the other hand, loved the place. The smell of his kids relaxes him at the end of a tiring day. Sitting on the cold floors with his three kids, two boys and one girl, running around him, kissing him and fighting over his attention can surely ease the pain from an eight-hour dance class he had to teach. Collecting stools and moping the floor even when he’s dead tired is okay with him, as long as he does it for his beloved - Monggu, Jjanggu, and Jjangah.

“Oi, Jongin. I’m serious. I’ll have your kids adopted behind your back if they keep planting litters in every corner of the house. I have no problems with Monggu, but Jjangah! I swear, your little princess likes tinkling anywhere when she already saoked my shoe. You should have her bladder checked. And I’m not even going to tell you about Jjanggu’s habits! I’m gonna die from inhaling too much hair. It’s gonna end my non-existent singing career before it even begins.” Baekhyun complains, spoon eagerly pointing at Jongin who was sitting in front him at the dining table. Jongin kept silent, chuckling every now and then, half listening, attention at his princess who was sitting quietly and calmly on the chair beside him. He takes the last piece of bacon on his dinner plate, offering it to the little girl who excitedly takes a bite.

“Good girl!” Jongin exclaims, signaling Jjangah to jump off the chair and run to her oppas. “Oh, come on hyung! They can hear you, you know.” Jongin mumbles, clicking his tongue as he eyes Monggu sitting at the entrance of the dining area. “They might think you hate them. You just won’t admit you can’t sleep without Monggu rubbing your feet.”

“That’s different, Jongin. I’m okay when they’re well behaved - and that only happens when you’re around. The three remembers where the bathroom is when you’re home!” Baekhyun mutters.

“You miss them, though, when they’re at my sister’s place.” Jongin mumbles, fake crying to mock the elder. “Jonginah~ When are they coming back?” He teases. “I can’t sleep without Monggu~”

“Tch. Whatever. I’m going to request for a shift adjustment so I can be out the house when you’re at work. I’m serious, Jongin. I’m starting to be allergic.” The other responds, standing up and tossing the used dishes into the sink.

“Hyung, don’t be like that. No one will take care of them when I’m not around. My sister can’t handle them since my niece was born. My kids,” Jongin coos, “Oh my God, they’re gonna starve to death!” he screams. “My poor kids!”

Jongin was fake-crying rather loudly, enough that the other two run to the dining area and sit by their Appa’s chair. Monggu was the last one to arrive, walking slowly. Jjanggu looks up to Jongin, tilting his head to his side as Jongin continues to wail purposely.

“My Jjanggu is so cute!” Jongin claps as he sees the three. “Hyung, look at them, they’re so adorable I don’t know why you’re starting to hate them!”

That moment, Monggu stands up again, this time walking to Baekhyun’s side, sitting by his feet as he washes the dishes. Monggu rubs his nose to Baekhyun’s knees. “FINE I DON’T HATE YOU.” Baekhyun mumbles. “But, seriously, Jongin. You should find a baby-sitter for them. I wasn’t lying about changing work shifts. You should look for someone who can handle your kids’ mess, and maybe all your mess, too. I don’t know but your room seems to be more like a pigsty than a human’s room.. but then again, your kids live there, too, so yeah.”

X

“Kim Kai. Who in the right mind would want to babysit your three annoyingly cute kids? I mean, are there even people who would get a job babysitting them?” Sehun, his co-instructor asks. They were sitting against the mirrored walls of the dance studio, taking an hour break after a three-hour class.

“That’s my current problem. I can’t find the perfect person for the job. My kids are too precious I won’t trust them to anyone.” Jongin mutters, pouting. He needs to find a babysitter by the end of the week, or he’ll have to leave his three kids alone in the house during his shift. Jongin sips from his bottle, wiping the sweat budding on his forehead with the back of his hand.

“Omma! Where are you omma??” A little girl’s voice suddenly echoes around the studio. The two instructors look at each other, figuring out if it was a ghost or something else, since a child’s voice in the university is unlikely. They hear her scream and cry, the wailing growing louder and louder until the door of the studio was suddenly open with much force. A young girl, about four years old come running inside, an arm covering her already wet eyes and cheeks. The two stand up, but was stuck in their place when a young man comes in running behind the little girl.

“Aigoo, Rahee~ Don’t cry. Oppa is here.” The stranger cooes, taking the crying little girl up to his arms. “Were you scared of the ahjussi?” he asks. “Come on, we should go to your omma. She said she’ll buy you ice cream today.”

“Really, oppa?” the little girl asks, finally halting her tears.

“Of course! You’ve been a good girl!”

A loud ring blares from the young man’s phone. He fishes it out his pocket as he walks out the room, totally oblivious of the two’s presence in the room. He walked out with the little girl in his arms, pressing the phone to his ear as he answers the call, leaving the two unnoticed.

“Oh, Baek. What’s wrong?” He greets.

“Kyungsoo, I really, really need your help. My flatmate is so incompetent I have to find a babysitter for him.” Baekhyun from the other line, explains.

“And you’re calling me because?..”

“Because you’re one hell of a babysitter, and you’re damn good with adorable and annoying kids.. AND you’re good in cleaning up after them. Just for a while, please. Just two months! I’m desperate; you’re the only babysitter I know.”

“Schedule and salary?” Kyungsoo asks.

“The appa can pay you with all the cash you need. He’s an eyecandy, too. I swear you’ll work for him for free when you see him. Your sched would be from 3 to 7 in the evening” Baekhyun screams. “Just get the damn job, Soo, or else I’ll tell Rahee’s mom you’re a pedo!”

“Ya! I’m not!” Kyungsoo defends.

“I know! But seriously, Soo. It’s just three.. uhmm.. kids. Please. If I don’t get my adjusted schedule because of those three kids I swear I won’t get married for the rest of my life. I beg you, Soo. I’ll be working with Chanyeol if I get the shift. I can’t let it pass.”

“Oh my God, you’re doing this to go flirt with a guy?” Kyungsoo deadpans, knocking on the office door of Rahee’s mom. When the door opened, the little girl immediately runs inside. Her mother waves to Kyungsoo, who bowed his head politely before taking his leave. “If it pays well, I’ll take it. But please, don’t make me handle special children. I don’t know how I will take care of them.”

“The kids are fine, Soo, just a little hyper. They’re very active, and really messy around the house. The only special child you’ll be dealing with would be the appa, but his looks make up for it. I told you he’s eye-

“Eyecandy, I get it. When do I start?”

“Now. Come to my place. I’m stinking with poop under my socks. God, I hate these three.”

Do Kyungsoo was a Psychology graduate who majored in children’s development, that’s why he liked babysitting. He only graduated recently, and to take some time off before applying for work, he decided to take part-times as a babysitter. He knew he was good at it. He’s caring, and very, very meticulous in looking after kids no matter what age. He thinks that every child is precious, and they must be given full attention. They should be guided by responsible adults, for it will be embedded in their young minds, and would result for them to grow up as responsible adults, too. He always believed that he can handle any child, and he hasn’t failed so far.

He walked straight to his University fri-enemy’s place, checking the map on his phone every now and then just to be sure he’s heading the right way. Baekhyun sent his address to Soo, hoping that the younger would be able to find his place. Kyungsoo finds the apartment in no time, ringing the door bell a few times before the receiver’s LED light lights up.

“Who is it?” Baekhyun sings, voice in high-pitch.

“It’s me.” Kyungsoo responds.

“Sorry I can’t open the door right now.”

“Open up while I’m asking nicely.” Kyungsoo bluntly mutters, rolling his eyes. Baekhyun always annoy him in millions of ways, but even so, he considered the older a good friend of his.

“Chill! Wait ‘till you meet the kids. Come in.” The receiver beeps, along with the digital lock that was installed in the door. Kyungsoo reached for the knob, turning it to help himself in.

“Arf!” a loud bark welcomed him as he peeks through the just opened door. “Arf! Arf!” It continued. A whiff of lemon air freshener clouds his senses, mixed with the smell of canine, like mold and salted meat, as if tasting the saltiness of the smell, masked by shampoo.

“Come in, Soo! They don’t bite!” Baekhyun yells from the inside. Kyungsoo bravely walks in, checking out the foyer and constantly eyeing the inside of the small apartment. He was pulling his shoes off when Baekhyun appears to him, two dogs behind him wagging their tails. Another one comes running, joining the other two. “Thank God, you’re here. I have to go. Take care of them for me, okay? You can leave at seven. You don’t need to wait for their appa to come home.”

Kyungsoo stared wide eye at his friend, his words left not understood. “Where are the kids? You should at least introduce me to them so they won’t think I’ll kidnap them or something.”

“Arf!” Jjangah barks, startling Kyungsoo.

“She likes you, that’s good. They won’t think you’ll kidnap them. Don’t worry about it.” Baekhyun mutters as he quickly puts on his own pair of shoes in the foyer.

“So where are the kids? Oh my God, Baek. What kind of employer are you?” Kyungsoo mumbles, taking notice of Monggu who was sitting quietly in front him, staring up to him.

“I’m not your employer, okay? Their appa is.” The other replies, pointing at Monggu.

“What?” Eyes widening in realization.

“Their appa is your employer not me. And they’re the kids. I swear, Kyungsoo, I thought you’re smarter than this. The big, brown one is Monggu.” He points. “The smaller one is Jjanggu. He’s more active since he’s a little younger. They’re both male poodles.” Then he points to the little white furball who was already sitting on her hind legs looking up to Kyungsoo. “That’s Jjangah, the little bitch. And I mean that literally ‘cause she’s a girl, and also figuratively, because she’s the messiest and most hyper compared to the two, and she likes to pee on shoes. The tools are in the kitchen, please do clean up after them. Food is in the fridge, Oh my God, I’m so gonna be late for the recital. Call me when you need anything!”

And with that, the door slammed shut in front Kyungsoo’s now pale face. Kids, he said. He tried recollecting his talk with Baekhyun over the phone about the kids he’ll be babysiting. Damn you, Byun Baekhyun. Since when are poodles considered as kids to babysit? Appa, my ass. Who calls the dogs’ owner the appa? There are a lot of pet centers around Seoul to leave their pets to. Baekhyun and his antics. He’s not going to get away from this.

His phone suddely vibrates, receiving a message.

From : Baek

Of course you won’t take the job if I told you about the poodles. Don’t worry. They’re easy to take care of. Just clean up after them, Soo, or might as well train them where to litter. They’re easier to handle than kids, don’t worry. Feel free to use anything inside the house. Just don’t burn the house, and don’t kill the dogs. Their appa will bury you alive if that happens. Thanks, Soo.

Kyungsoo grunts as he pushes his phone back into his pocket, the three dogs silently watching him as he place both his hands on his waist.

“So, Monggu, Jjanggu, and Jjangah, huh.” He mumbles to himself. “Nice to meet you. I’m Kyungsoo.” He extend his hand down to the three, and the dogs responded by wagging their tails furiously. Monggu, the eldest, carefully stands up on all fours, walking to approach Kyungsoo’s hand, sniffing over their new babysitter’s fingers. When Monggu licks his thumb, Jjanggu immediately runs to him, jumping up and down on his leg, as if he only waited for Monggu to greet the stranger. Jjangah, on the other hand lost her interest quickly as she pace to the inside of the house and play with her toys. Jjanggu barks every now and then, but kept on running around Kyungsoo as he finally walks in and settled on the nearest couch.

“Aigoo. What should I do with you three?” He asks himself. He doesn’t have a single clue. He doesn’t even have any idea on how to take care of dogs. An orientation on his job would’ve been great, but knowing Baekhyun, he knew he was on his own.

Ruffling his hair, he fishes out his phone from his pocket to go online. Poodle, he types in on the search bar. At least he was smart enough to research before doing anything with the kids.

He was in the middle of an article regarding the breed when his phone suddenly beeps, an unknown number flashing across the screen. He click his read, and the message comes up.

From : 010-xxxxxxxxx
Hi. Sorry for the bother. Pls take care of my kids until 7pm. Do you prefer I wire the salary to you or I hand it to you personally? I can ask Baek-hyung to give it to you since I’m really busy. My kids are well-behaved. You don’t have to feed them, I’ll feed them later when I get home. If there’s anything you need to ask, just send me a msg. Thanks again, though I really hate owing Baekhyun-hyung for anything.. but thanks. Yeah. Bye.

Kyungsoo went on reading a few more articles on dogs and poodles per se, and have realized how easy it would be to baby-sit the three, but then, little did he know that the kids he's to take care of are no ordinary poodles, because they, for a fact, are children of Kim Jongin - and that makes them equally weird and unique.

"Arf!" Jjanggu barks, wagging his tail vigorously against the floor, sitting by Kyungsoo's feet and looking up.

"What?" the startled male asks. Jjanggu sits up and down, jolting his rear up excitingly. The toy poodle proceeds to wag his tail, suddenly fascinated and runs in circles catching the moving thing behind him, even changing direction when he can't have a hold on it. Kyungsoo laughs at the dog's stupidity, finding it amusing how Jjanggu can be too persistent in catching his own tail - which is impossible. "What do you want, Jjanggu?" he asks. The dog stops, alert, staring blankly at the human for a few seconds before going in circles again.

He suddenly realize that the two other dogs weren't there, and though pets don't need to be in your sight every single moment, Kyungsoo still had to check them every now and then. "Monggu~" he sings, stretching his neck as he tries looking for the eldest. He finds him at the entrance by the kitchen, sleeping with belly up, and paws hanging in the air. Jjanggu suddenly runs to the elder, nudging his nose to Monggu's neck, waking the other up. Monggu jolts up, barking at the younger for disrupting his sleep. They start sniffing at nudging at each other, before running around the living room.

"I wonder where Jjangah is.." he stands up, eyeing the area for a certain white poodle. In his horror, he finds her sniffing on his shoe. It was too late when he realized the girl has lowered her rear to the floor, peeing on his shoes. When he ran to take his shoe away, Jjangah has already fiished her business, shaking her body and walking away innocently. Kyungsoo planted a palm on his forehead. I'd rather change diapers than walk with shoes with dog pee.

His shift ends quickly, and the dogs still uncomfortable with the babysitter's presence, didn't really litter that much that afternoon. After replacing the water in the pets' container, he left the house, locking the doors as he went out.

The day after was as normal as it can be for Kyungsoo. He still haven't met the dogs' owner, and only had a minute with Baekhyun who passed him a spare key to the house. "Jongin prepared for an orientation for you at home so you'll know what to do. He's really meticulous with the kids so take note of everything." Baekhyun explains.

Kyungsoo was already looking forward to meet the three's Appa, but then he realized that he can never trust Baekhyun's words. True to his expectations, he entered the house with the smell of dog poo in the air. He thought the owner would be guiding him on how to go around the house and clean up after his pets, but no. Jongin had a different orientation in mind. He basically plastered the whole house with sticky-notes. There were notes on the fridge, on both doors to his and Baek's room, and also on the kitchen cabinet where all the tools for the dogs are kept. Kyungsoo roams around the house, picking up the sticky notes as he goes.

"This is my room. Their toys and beds are here. Don't leave this open or Jjanggu will rip anything ripable." He reads. Monggu was silently following him around, as if judging him if he'll do anything bad to his appa's room.

He walks over the other door, taking the pink note pasted on it. "For the love of God, please do open this door so Jjanggu can rip anything Baek-hyung owns. Try potty training here with Jjangah." He reads again, chuckling at Jongin's weird humor.

He then moved on to the kitchen, reading the one posted on the fridge. "Arf! Arf! Arf!" Jjangah yelps, watching Kyungsoo from under the table. He shrugs, taking the note. "If you happen to find this, Jjangah probaly have barked at you. On the top shelf inside, there is a pack of bacon jerky. Hand a piece to her or else she'll bite your toes the moment you take another step. Please don't walk this way next time. Go around the other side far from the fridge." Kyungsoo obliged, opening the appliance, and finding the pack of treats on the top shelf. He hands a piece to Jjangah, and the girl takes it, running away after. "Ungrateful bitch." He murmurs.

He walks to the other corner of the kitchen, finding a cabinet where another ridiculously bright note was posted. He sits down on his shins, reading the note. "Here's where their food is. They eat the same stuff. Their health books are also inside. Take note of their food schedule and the amount of serving. Jjangah may be small, but she has the biggest appetite. I'll go thorougly on personalities on their respective health books." Suprisingly, Jongin didn't leave a single detail out. Kyungsoo finds it amusing how much love his employer is showering over his kids.

"Monggu." He reads on the first booklet. "He's quiet, and very mature. You'll find him most of the time sleeping on any door. His favorite spot is by the kitchen. He's sweet so if he sits at your feet, talk to him." He went on reading Monggu's diet, taking note for future reference. He went on to read the next booklet - Jjanggu's. "Jjanggu is the most hyper dog in the planet. I bet he's all over you right now if you're sitting on the floor." He looks behind him, frowning as Jjanggu was nowhere near him. He continues to read, "If not, he's doing business. Just clean it up after. Rub his belly after meals, or else he'll harrass you." Kyungsoo didn't understand what harass meant. He thought of trying it out just to know what the cute dog would do. Yeah, maybe he will. Next, "Jjangah." He reads. "She's my princess. She's a bitch, like hyung always says. She thinks way too big for a small dog. She thinks she's the pack leader. Blame me 'cause I spoiled her, but she's my kid so I raise her how I want to. Anyway, she litters everywhere. I wasn't able to train her that well because I just started working when I got her. Anyway, just clean up after. When you eat on the table, she'll take a seat beside you. Just give her anything and she'll leave you alone."

The afternoon went by quickly, and it was already almost time for the kids' dinner. Kyungsoo takes the dogs' bowls, cleaning them up over running water and drying them up. He went to the cabinet and takes the sack of dog food, opening the booklets once again to make sure of the amount of serving. As he went back to the sink, he purposely went around the kitchen, not walking in the side where the fridge was. Jjangah was already staring at the male, ready to bark i case he pass by the fridge. He prepares the food with a spoon, remembering one of Jongin's notes about not doing it barehanded. He wrote that his kids might like Kyungsoo's scent better and eat only the food that has his scent. "I get easily jealous." He wrote. Kyungsoo smiled as he remembered. He doesn't know if he should take the note as a personal confession, or as a mere reminder how much loves his kids.

The three happily eats their food as Kyungsoo cleans up after puddles of pee, courtesy of Jjanggu and Jjangah. After washing the bowls, Kyungsoo realized it was only six in the afternoon, and decided to take a nap. He sits on the couch, stretching his leg to the floor, crossing them to make himself comfortable.

So far, his babysitting duties were going smoothly. Cleaning up after the dogs wasn't hard. He close his eyes, relaxing, not before checking the three. Monggu was already sleeping by the kitchen door, Jjanggu was sitting quietly at the same spot where he ate, and Jjangah was biting on a toy, shaking it with her mouth until the toy flies to somewhere else, and she'll run after it again. He realized Jjanggu was unexpectedly quiet, as he stares at him for a while, as if waiting. Kyungsoo finally closes his eyes, satisfied for having a time to rest his back and his mind.

Kyungsoo was almost falling into a deep slumber when he suddenly felt movement against his leg. He shifts his feet, lifting his right foot over his left to shoo away the disturbance. Unfortunately, the movement doesn't stop. He finally opens eyes, annoyed, but was ultimately horrified by the sight that woke him up. Jjanggu was on his leg, humping very enthusiastically, tongue hanging on the side of his mouth. Both his front legs are around Kyungsoo's as if trapping his mate.

"What the hell?" Kyungsoo curses, lightly pushing the hyper-active Jjanggu away. The dog slid off his leg, but quickly grabbed on his arm and humped on it instead. Laughing, Kyungsoo pulled his arm up, leaving the dog thrusting into thin air. "Oh my God, Jjanggu you're so cute." He chuckles as the dog once again jumps over his leg and continuing his deed. Kyungsoo was expecting forJjanggu to stop anytime soon, but much to the babysitter's surprise, he didn't. He lifts his leg over the couch, rendering them out of the dog's reach, hoping he would calm down and stop, but he didn't. Instead, he ran to Monggu, jumping over the elder, thrusting on the surpised dog's face. Kyungsoo laughed again, this time louder, not being able to hide his amusement. He watch as Monggu run away from the other, but Jjanggu, persistent, runs after him, humping as soon as he reaches him.

"Ya, Jjanggu. Monggu is a male, you know that right?" Kyungsoo mutters, sill watching the two chase each other. Jjanggu was already looking so tired, that Kyungsoo finally gives up waiting for the dog to calm down. He fishes out his phone, typing in a message to ask the father what to do with Jjanggu.

To: Kim Jongin

Jjanggu raped by leg, and is now persistent on taking advantage of Monggu. What do I do

After a few moments, his phone beeps, receiving a message. He opened it and read Jongin's reply.

From : Kim Jongin

You didn't rub his belly after meal. I told you he'll harrass you if miss it. He enjoys humping on fabrics like jeans, or on Monggu. Just rub his belly until he calms down, but it'll be hard to pin him down, because he'll be raping your arm the moment you reach down to him. I don't know why I'm talking about my son's sex life right now. If you can't calm him down, I'll do it later. Let's just hope Monggu is still a virgin male dog when I come home."

Kyungsoo chuckles at the last sentence. Jongin's humor is definitely out of this world.

To : Kim Jongin

I'll make sure Monggu doesn't get laid. I can't bear to imagine yaoi on dogs. Thanks. I'll try to calm him down. Get home sa-

Kyungsoo shakes his head, and erases the hanging sentence. Who was he to wish Jongin a safe trip home? He mentally curses himself, sending the message. He takes a deep breath before walking to Jjanggu, who immediately catches his arm and obviously, humps on it with much vigor.

It was already nearing 7 in the evening when Jjanggu finally calms down on Kyungsoo's lap. He was in deep slumber already, tired from his earlier state. Kyungsoo, having to leave already, opens the door to Jongin's room, searching for Jjanggu's bed. The room was ridiculously messy, and he can't help but want to clean it up. Checking the time on the clock hanging on the wall, he wills against the idea and takes Jjanggu's bed instead, carrying it outside to the living room, and placing Jjanggu gently on it. He makes his way to the door, finding Jjangah saying goodbye with her signature "I''ll pee on your shoe so you can always think of me. I'll miss you." He had to wash his shoe for the second time that week, and it's only his second day with the three poodles.

“I swear this job pays more than what I earn with babysitting Rahee.” He murmurs to himself as Baekhyun hands him the envelope that contains his salary for his first week. He was sitting on the couch with Baekhyun, sipping hot tea.

“Told ‘ya. All the family members give Jongin enough money for the three kids, apart from the budget he himself prepares for them.” Baekhyun explains. “Jongin is waaay too generous when it comes to his kids.”

Kyungsoo chuckles, amazed how the three dogs are even considered children. “You talk like they’re children. I find it weird and funny at the same time.”

“Jongin kind of rubs it off to anyone he tells his kids about. They’re his children, so everyone gets used to thinking they’re actual human children. There was one time we were talking about the three calling them “our kids” in a supermarket and there was a lady who was staring at us wide-eyed. She thought we’re a gay couple and we have three kids. We were talking about Jjanggu’s stud experience and it came out like we’re selling our kid to be a prostitute or something.” Baekhyun recounts, making both men laugh.

“So, this Jongin really loves the three, yes?” Kyungsoo asks, sipping on his tea. It sounds nosy for him to ask about someone he never met, but since they were talking about them already, why not ask?

“Oh, yes. Those three are his life. He’d rather stay single forever than have someone who would take him away from his kids. You know, like cat-ladies, growing old with their cats.. but in his case, dogs.”

“But they’re not going to live forever.” He replies.

“Well, he can search for a partner then, but right now, he’d rather marry another dog.” Baekhyun kids, making Kyungsoo laugh again.

“But, anyway, I haven’t seen him yet. What is he? A ghost or something?”

Baekhyun’s lips formed a smirk, eyeing the other with much interest, “Why? Are you intrigued about Jongin being an eye-candy?”

Kyungsoo almost chokes on his tea, shaking his head furiously. “No. I just think I need to meet the father if I’m taking care of his kids. That’s.. usual.” He lies. The truth is, he really is intrigued of how this Jongin actually looks like, given that his humor is really interesting and his way of caring for his pets is strangely overbearing. There’s a want in him to know this man, based on their conversations over texts, though it mostly is just about the three dogs.

“You’ll meet him soon. He’s really busy lately training his students. He wants his students to be given opportunity in big agencies for dancers. Besides, if you really want to meet him, you can extend your shift up to 8PM. He arrives home at that time. I’d still bet on you working for him for free when you see him.”

“Whatever, Baek.”

“I’m here~” Kyungsoo sings as he settles in the foyer, taking off his shoes and putting it inside a plastic bag. He hangs it on the door handle where Jjangah can’t reach, and steps inside the house, being welcomed by the three who grew used to his presence in the house. Monggu wags his tail, looking up to Kyungsoo.

“Hello, Monggu..” He greets, reaching to his pocket for a piece of cookie he bought from a pet store on the way. He hands it to the poodle, letting him lick it off of his hand. Jjanggu was already jumping up and down on his leg, begging for attention. He claws on Kyungsoo’s thighs furiously, leaving white marks on the man’s jeans. Kyungsoo reaches to pat the hyper dog’s head by instinct, also preparing a treat for him. Kyungsoo sits down, welcomed by Jjanggu’s jumping, licking his face excitedly. “Jjanggu, sit!” Kyungsoo commands. The dog kept on jumping. “Sit!” He commands again. This time, Jjanggu obeys, surprising the man. “Good boy.” Kyungsoo mutters, handing the dog a treat of his own. The two follows him as he went inside and straight to the kitchen, preparing the kids’ meal.

He places three bowls in front the three, watching as the two boys hurriedly eat their meal. Jjangah, on the other hands, kept sniffing on her food but not really taking a bite. Kyungsoo wonders what’s wrong, so he went to sit beside the dog.

“Jjangah, what’s wrong?” He asks, caressing the dog’s head, rubbing her ear. Kyungsoo pushes her bowl closer to her, but Jjangah only steps back. “I’ll ask your appa why you’re like that. I hope you’re not sick, princess.”

He fishes his phone and notice an unread message. It was from Jongin.

Jjangah will probably have her cycle today. When she bleeds, there’s a diaper in one of my dressers - I think it’s in the bottom drawer. Change her diapers before you leave. Thanks.

So it was that, he thought. He quickly types in a reply.

She doesn’t want to eat. What should I do?

It took about five minutes before Jongin replied, and Kyungsoo was already shooing the two away from eating Jjangah’s share.

Spoonfeed.

Kyungsoo thought that Jongin probably was busy to take a long time before replying. He places his phone on the one of the counters, before sitting back down the floor, crossing his legs. Jjanggu suddenly jumps on to him, licking and sniffing his face. He ends up laughing, ticklish and grossed at the same time. “No!” He commands. Jjanggu suddenly steps back, alert and staring at the man. “Play with Monggu.” Kyungsoo utters, pointing to the poodle sitting quietly on the side. Jjanggu wags his tail playfully, barking once. It suddenly clicks to him, that Jjanggu was waiting for him.

“Okay, okay, I get it. Come here.” He mentions, offering his hand. Jjanggu barks happily, rubbing his nose onto Kyungsoo’s palm before sliding down the floor and rolling over. Kyungsoo rubs the other’s belly until the dog finaly stands up and run to play with the other.

Jjangah, on the other hand, lays down quietly on the floor in front her bowl, watching Kyungsoo. “Come here..” Kyungsoo mutters. Jjangah, as if understanding, comes up to Kyungsoo, settling herself between his legs. He takes a bunch of dog food pebbles from her bowl, offering them to the little girl. Jjangah lifts her head and sniffs the food from his hand, finally taking some in. Kyungsoo kept on spoonfeeding her until she almost ate half her bowl.

Suddenly, Jjangah stands up and runs away from Kyungsoo, like usual, and went to run to the foyer. Kyungsoo realized she was going to pee, so he took one of the rags he prepared and placed it on the foyer. Trained for a few days, Jjangah takes a whiff from the rag, and did her business. At least, it’s not on my shoe anymore. He thought. As Jjangah runs back to the living room to play with her brothers, Kyungsoo fetched the rag and took it to the kitchen to clean it up. He found traces of blood, confirming what Jongin told him earlier.

He takes a quick run to Jongin’s room, still untidy, and head straight to his drawers. He said it’s at the bottom drawers. He pulls the bottom drawer, only to be greeted by an array of boxers and underwears. I haven’t seen the guy and I’ve already seen his underwear. Oh my God. He pushes it back in, completely flushed, and pulls the upper drawer. There, he found the dogs’ leashes and clothes. At the corner was a pack of diapers. He takes one, along with an underwear for Jjangah to secure the diaper on her.

As he went out, he finds Jjanggu already sniffing Jjangah’s rear, totally intrigued by the other’s smell. Kyungsoo quickly dashed to Jjangah’s side, startling the male.

Okay, this is easy like changing baby diapers. He thought.. but boy, he was wrong. Jjangah was biting his finger playfully as if asking him to stop whatever he was doing. She would runaway and let Kyungsoo chase her, and the struggle begins again. After ten minutes of chasing, Kyungsoo successfully puts on the diaper. Finally.

“Hyung, why the hell is Jjangah carrying that rag on her mouth?” Jongin asks watching his princess strides across the kitchen and heading to the foyer one night. Baekhyun shrugs, oblivious.

Jongin, amazed, sneakily follows his little girl, intrigued by this new behavior. “Omo. Hyung, look.” He whispers, shaking his hand in the air, calling Baekhyun. The older tiptoes towards him, peeking over his shoulder as they both watch Jjangah putting down the rag in the corner of the foyer, lowering her rear so she can pee on it.

“What the actual fuck? I’m so gonna marry Do Kyungsoo. I have to meet him! He trained her!” Jongin screams happily as he jumps and down with both hands on Baekhyun’s shoulder, shaking the older. “Did you see that?!”

Suddenly, Jjanggu approaches his jumping appa, mimicking him. Jjanggu jumps up and down against Jongin’s legs, and the other couldn’t be any hyped as he takes Jjanggu up and tossed him to the air.

The next day, Kyungsoo came again for his baby-sitting duties with the three. As usual, he started off with cleaning up litters and moping the floor, the three purposely following his tracks, leaving paw prints in the already cleaned floor. Kyungsoo laughs at the three kids’ anticts.

After cleaning up, Jjanggu and Jjangah lie down on the floor, which surprised Kyungsoo. Usually, they’ll be playing around, specialy Jjanggu, but both lays down quietly, eyes shutting. Realizing that the two wants to take a nap, he went to Jongin’s room and hurriedly takes both their beds and settled the two. Both dogs walks in circles over the bed, and once they found their position, they closed their eyes and slept.

Monggu, on the other hand, sits quietly in front Jongin’s door, staring at the male. When Kyungsoo sat on the couch, the eldest poodle came to him and sits beside his feet.

“Hello, Monggu. How are you?” He asks, petting on his head. The poodle seem to like it, as he pushes his head further up to Kyungsoo’s hand. “Come here.” Kyungsoo mutters. He carries Monggu up on his lap, surprised of his weight. “I didn’t expect you to be this heavy.” He chuckles. “I’ve fed you well, huh?” Monggu reaches up to his shoulder and Kyungsoo held onto him, as if carrying a baby. Monggu stood still, and Kyungsoo just let him be. After a few moments, Monggu retracted and settled beside Kyungsoo instead, using his leg as a pillow.

“Your appa said you’re the sweetest. I see that now, but you know, I wonder how your Appa is really like. He loves you very much, you know that?” He mutters. The dog doesn’t respond. “Should I take a nap, too?” He asks. The dog looks up to him, staring, before lowering his head again, and shutting his eyes. “Guess, I’ll sleep, too.”

Kyungsoo’s sweet slumber was abruptly cut by a door forecefully closing. He shot up, surprised, taking Monggu by surprise too as he stands up suddenly. Monggu walks to the other end of the couch and continues his sleep.

Kyungsoo, still startled, had a hand over his chest, calming himself from the surprise.

“Whoa.” A voice suddenly speaks, having Kyungsoo turn around to see the source. It came from where Jongin’s room was, and there he found a young man, tanned skin, plump lips and swollen cheeks and hooded eyes staring at him.

“Sorry did I startle you?” Jongin asks. Kyungsoo blinks a few times before answering, completely swooning over the other male.

“Y-yeah. You did.. and you just woke up.. I mean, you woke me up.” He stutters. Jongin flashes a grin, blinding the other with his smile. Oh my God, totally an eye-candy. Kyungsoo shakes his head.

“Sorry. Didn’t Baek tell you I’m home today?” Jongin asks, walking to the other. He signals Kyungsoo to sit, and like a lost puppy, the other obliged without breaking eye contact.

“Oh, wait. I could’ve told you I’m home.. but I didn’t.” He mutters, chuckling. “Hi, I’m Jongin. It’s nice to finally meet you.”

“K-Kyungsoo.”

Hearing their appa’s voice, Jjanggu and Jjangah runs from their beds to the couch where the two were. Jjangah, as usual, sits at Jongin’s feet, looking up, but what was different was Jjanggu. Jongin watched in horror as Jjanggu jumps excitedly against Kyungsoo’s leg, who in return, reached to the poodle and pets its head.

“I swear I’m going to marry you.” Jongin whispers.

“What?” Kyungsoo barks back, unsure if he heard right.

“I said please be their mo-

“I heard it well. Wait, what?” He interrupts.

“I said please be their mom and marry me.”

“Okay, your humor is getting out of hand. I might think you’re crazy.”

“I’m kidding, but seriously, thanks for taking good care of them.” Jongin chuckles as he rests his back on the cushion. “Baekhyun-hyung really did me a big favor in hiring you.”

“I don’t know about that. You seem to be hands-on, yourself. I wouldn’t be able to take care of your kids if you weren’t as meticulous as you are.” Kyungsoo responds. Jongin nods at his remark, proud of himself.

“I think we’re ready for phase two of baby-sitting.” Jongin murmurs under his breath, but loud enough for Kyungsoo to hear.

Kyungsoo looks at him confused. “Phase two?”

“Yeah. Moving in and taking them for walks.”

“What the hell, Jongin?” Baekhyun screams as he came home one night finding his bags on the living room, one already wet, probably Jjanggu or Jjangah’s doing. “Why are my things outside my room?!”

Jongin peeks from the inside, throwing out a few more of Baekhyun’s things. “Oi, Kim Jong- oh.” He stops mid-sentence, finding a certain tall male heading out the his room with Jongin.

“Okay, you can leave the place to me. See you around, Baek.” Jongin mutters. Baekhyun silently watches his now boyfriend, a relationship that’s actually one-sided in which Baekhyun is the only believing that the other is actually his boyfriend, carries all his stuff out the apartment.

As Chanyeol disappears from the foyer, Baekhyun released his breath, grunting “What the hell did you do?”

“Well I found out from Soo that you changed your shift to be with the guy, so I’m doing you a favor. You chose the guy over my kids, hyung, I feel betrayed.” He mutters playfully. “Besides, Soo will be moving in to take care of the kids full time.”

“Omma’s home~”

“Oi, Do Kyungsoo! When are you going to tell me you’re kicking me out of my own house?!” The three dogs bark at once, surprising Baekhyun. “Okay, I get it kids! I’m leaving and will visit you often. Bye.”

Kyungsoo chuckles, convincing himself to talk to his friend some other time. He sits on the floor, legs crossed, laughing as the three kids jump on him, kissing and licking.

“Kids, don’t forget you appa~” Jongin whines as he sits beside Kyungsoo. Jjangah shift her attention to Jongin, settling on his lap. Jjanggu runs around the two before sitting beside Kyungsoo. Monggu leaves the four, taking his usual spot at the kitchen entrance.

“Hello, baby.”

“Oh my God, finally you said hello to me!”
