To-Do List

Aug 07, 2006 13:57

This is everything I have left to do on my research:

- Read and mark Oz books 15 & 16
- Copy spreadsheet to data file
- E-Mail data file to Prof Dooley by Wednesday
- Run data through c4.5 program
- Read docs to run disputed cases
- Run 15th book data
- Read previous McNair papers from journal
- Write outline for paper
- Re-read proposal and edit
- Write paper
- Send paper to Prof Dooley by Sunday
- Edit/Revise paper
- Research grad schools attending Berkeley conf
- List questions for representatives
- Write presentation notes
- Practice presentation with Prof Dooley on Monday

I know, a lot of it's crossed out already, because I actually wrote this list on Monday, but I like seeing what I've gotten accomplished by now. We leave for the McNair conference in Berkeley in excatly 6 days, which seemed so impossible a week ago. But now, as of this morning, all my research is done and I can devote myself just to getting my paper written and practicing my presentation (which I am sorta scared shitless about, but trying not to think about it).

After the conference, I'm heading back to Colorado, on either Aug 16 or 18, depending on whether I have to move out this weekend, or when I get back. Craig Southern is being absolutely ridiculous about it, because the McNair students are all going to be gone during The Great Summer Move Out. So he told us that we can wait to move out until after we get back, but only if there's not someone moving into our room early. If that's the case, we have to move out this weekend. Which means I would quite possibly not be able to get anything done on my research and that little to-do list would die an utterly painful death. So now it's Thursday, and he still hasn't told us when we'll need to move out! *shakes head* I know the man has a lot on his mind, but come on!

Anyway, I'll be in CO until Sept 5, so if you want to hang out, contact me before then. I may be going camping some weekend with Gary and Clay, too, so call before my dance card gets filled up, aight?

Back to work... I really think the worst part is over though, and that is such a nice feeling.
