Well, I had a very good time last night. I went to a stand-up show by Uri Orbach called 'Karnaval birshut ha Torah', a show which was "strictly for religious people" because *quote* "there are some things that non-religious people just won't understand". And it's true. Like saying Shma and your mind wanders and you suddenly find yourself at the end of Shmona Esre, or the tune taking you all the way back to Shirat Hayam. Or making fun of the different types of dancers at bar mitzvahs; the one who dives in looking like he's breaking up a fight, or the one how doesn't care about the rythm - he just wants to to fancy foot work, or the one how's off 'dancing' by himself - break dancing, doing cartwheels... Or making fun of balachlikiyot - bachurot lechutzot chatuna (or: girls under pressure of marriage).
I laughed so hard that  I was so hoarse by the time I came out, I sounded like a thirteen year old boy who'd just hit puberty. Man, that was fun... And the company was nice to, albeit a little confusing.
Sayonara folks!
