What is with Iku and curry?
Also, under water?
I'm going to make myself watch the opening more closely.
Binary, huh? Didn't expect that from this one, since there's the bow and everything.
Ringo...Toast powers?
Is the mother going to leave the house with curlers in her hair?
Ringo doesn't have friends. Like Anthy.
A special curry of love?
Oh wait. The subway doors are back. Huh. But that's in the start of the transformation sequence. Also, subs on the transformation scene this time around (plus).
I still hate the bear mecha. Oddly, the animation doesn't bother me as much today.
I like how John and Friedrich still think it's Himari.
lol Nanami cow.
Burp transliteration.
How far are you willing to go? The only reason you'd ask that question is if the answer is "not far enough."
The penguins remind me of Chuchu too much.
octopus hotdogs.
I like how John is okay with traipsing around the house, but not gonig into the gir's room. Wtf. That's just absurd.
Save your innocence for Himari? Is Friedrich imposing his own incestual desires on John?
Yeah...This rivalry is definitely incestuous. How disappointing.
The first food cooked by humans was curry? By a girl for the man she loves? Try again.
Her fantasy is odd.
John's stomach gave them away?
Also, why would they think Ringo would leave the Penguin Drum in her house? I wouldn't put that thing down. Ever.
More subway map. Allusion to journey?
The subway girls are spraying stinky people?
I have too many questions.
IT'S MAGIC CURRY.
Shit. He sparkles. Way too much.
Hoshit, I think she just revealed her crush.
Oh. Fantasy. Why did I not see that coming again? Iku, you joker.
Tabuki's woman is _hot_.
lol curry.
So did the penguin drum create a girl like Ringo who could be with Tabuki? That would be twisted, but also somewhat of a boring monkey's paw take.
She moved the pot? What does this accomplish?
Fabulous max?
I missed the thing with the cat and the fish. Wut.
Spinning penguin? Oh wait. That's Himari. Huh. I'm not as annoyed when she's in hair buns. Or maybe just not when she's interacting with her brothers.
Yeah. She's definitely still annoying in her obliviousness. It actually really bothers me that she isn't informed of what's going on. Even though she also gets a penguin.
Not a great cook. I can only make curry. Anthy.
Is the Himari penguin getting it on with one of the other penguins?
Something stuck to a penguin?
Ah. So you have to write the fate, and then take steps to make it happen? So she says, if I do a, then b will happen. But there has to be some a? Confusing.
Ending song time.
So that was the most shoujo-like episode ever, but I learned from someone's post on
IRG that the date of March 20, 2006, when Ringo was 11 (appears on the flashback board) is exactly 11 years after the Sarin gas attack on Tokyo subway.
That specificity has to be intersting. It is also speculated that the parents of the main characters were victims of the attack and that Ringo lost a sister there and writes in her dead sister's diary.
What this has to do with penguins is something I'll have to investigate. In the meantime, my faith has been somewhat renewed, despite the fact that this episode didn't particularly interest me otherwise.
(Ringo seems more crazy in this context.)
