The idiots I have to deal with
This is an email I received from a System Engineer this morning. God help me.

The server does not seem to be responding to the normal user/pass for the root account.
All of the servers we received had the same root password, presumably re-set by the folks just prior to de-racking.
This one appears to be different.
To make matters worse, this server does not have a CD-ROM drive to be able to do the normal boot-from-CD-ROM and re-set root password.
Any thoughts on a root password before I get creative?
