Went to see the Maccabees tonight at a pretty rammed Astoria in London. Highlights of the night? Well the crowd surfing started well before the gig although the hour long set , including encore was about what you might expect length wise from a band who only released their first album on Monday of this week.
Still the young crowd knew all the lyrics and the big singles, Precious Time, X-Ray, Latchmere and especially First Love went down a storm.
As an overall experience I think it ranks behind their Reading Festival appearence for me though. 7/10
