[Camarilla] Concepting- Nathaniel Marks
Name: Nathaniel Marks

Born in America in the early part of the 1900s, Nathaniel grew up to become an attorney and politically minded advocate for the underdog. At the height of the First Red Scare, Nathaniel elected to become a practicing member of the Communist Party...going so far as to travel to China to attempt to bring his knowledge of the American legal system, culture, etc to his 'brothers' abroad. Upon arriving in China, Marks is thrown into a prison work camp only to be released several years later as he is purloined and Embraced by his abundantly enigmatic sire. Returning to America with a deep sense of bitterness (as he was not able to become an active revolutionary), Marks elects to attempt to find glory within the walls of the Invictus. He fails. Finding the slow creep to advancement and prestige beyond irritating...and re-invigorated by news of Mao's success in China...Marks abandons the Invictus peacefully (and to the pleasure of the majority of elders he encountered) and returns to China, joining the Carthian Movement and beginning to shape his own political philosophies.
Marks' ideals regarding the Movement are corrupt (obviously so, as he is Kindred). While he believes that the ultimate success of Kindred kind depends on the elimination of the Class system propogated by the First Estate, he also recognizes that the Invictus exist as a stable (mostly) entity in the here and now and thusly good relations must be maintained with them if one is to obtain any sort of comfortable future. Further, Marks is somewhat of a disestablishmentarianist. He believes in striving to challenge any society he is confronted with...feeling himself abundantly more 'fit' to rule and guide society than most vampires he encounters. In short, Marks is bigoted against stupidity and the lack of inguinity/adaptability.
