Very intense last 10 days, many digital revelations of the lost wisdom of St Leary. Epiphanies of mad lost prophets of psychedelic genesis and cultural paralells aside, the usual Terran charades go on...
Had an OK weekend, rain Fri & Sat, but on Sun the sun finally came back, I made it to the celebration of the Birth of the Buddha at the local Buddhist temple (fascinating and stirring) and then went to Noho to see Tony Levin of King Crimson fame. My favorite band of all time Ozric Tentacles is next Tues 6/20(in bloody hartford)-the fact that theyre around I take as a good omen for the coming months...except:
Yesterday I spun out completely after discovering my United Flyer-Miles are worthless after all as all the Milage reserved seats on every flight from Boston or Hartford to Portland to Seattle are long gone already until September....so no Eugene Faery Fest for me, but RM will probably still go without me. Ive been really dissapointed but I have to face the facts I need to work and pay down my debts not spend more. But Im almost outta stuff to sell except for personal crap with no job a series of maxxed cards and no desire to sit here in the house sweating it out. Really wish I could get a laptop for business travel but like I said Im totally maxxed, so here I am.
What I need is a real job (not some BS college town kids gig) with real a paycheck and air conditioning so I can crawl out of my economic hole now come due, but after looking for 18 months already Im not very encouraged. Anyway here I am after all going into the classic summer routine of hot impovrished crap peddling but who cares its summer and it feels like it....
