So I'd been tentatively planning a trip to NYC for
the New York Comic-Con 2006,
a superenourmous thing held at the Javitz Center this weekend.
But Ive concluded the costs are just too high for me right now, as conventions usually are part business part pleasure but all expense and if I went every bit of it would be on credit. Plus now its supposed to snow today tonight and tomorrow, and I dont think I can handle the bus for 9 hours (4.5 down and back) with snow included.
However, NYC has always thrown several comic conventions a year, and theres
The Big Apple Con on April 1st and another in June, and I actually know the guys who organize it personally. NYC is definitely more fun when its a bit warmer out. Hopefully there wont be some freak April fools snowstorm.
In any case for the rest of the weekend I'll be hosting
my own personal live minicon with old auctions ending and new ones starting, with lots of new updates for my art gallery site at
aeonsbeyond.com overall. Whheeee geeky phun.
