Catching up WTF
...I have to admit, LiveJournal hasnt been doing it for me recently. I havent had much of a life these days, and I rarely have the desire to write any whiny tripe about it....so unless I babble or paste some more weird graphics up I dont know what to say anymore. I still browse every day or so, but all in all it seems to me LJ is changing, others also seem to be dropping out, the communities seem really slow, and more of the older long time LJers seem to have slipped away leaving only silly nattering kids in their wake. Yawwwwnnnn.
For me this has been a long year of increasing struggle, difficult tests & hard choices, exaserbated by mounting debt, growing poverty, further isolation and a weird growing decrepitude on my part as I slide into deeper apathy. A strange dissociated time where both we as a nation and I as an individual stand on the edge of a precipice overlooking a vast void of disintegrated vaccuum, every week another even greater test of faith and endurance than the last ...whoops... look, see? whiny tripe.
Yeah OK, the tide is ever so slightly turning, the Light glinting a thin slice through the darkness of our Chaos. The Democrats are finally back in the house (hizouse?), and though we're all a bit skeptical, good things should still be possible...unless they really are all completely complicit as they often seem to be. My student loans came in before Thanksgiving which was good but it was all gone in a day, it wasnt enough to pay the back bills and to declare bankruptcy as Id been intending also, so after months of waiting thats still not happening. The kid here did finally get another car that works great, it took months but hes finally got it together, so we dont even see him anymore which is just fine by me. Thanksgiving was OK, I saw my Dad and my brother with some extended family near Boston for 2 days, but I got no sleep crashed on the living room love seat, and when the day after I got home I came down with a nasty 5 day chest cold Im just getting over. Blarf.
Anyway as I was saying...LJ I have to come clean... Ive been spending more time with MySpace. Yes I know MySpace is evil. I know the web ads make Rupert Murdoch and 1000 spamming bastards too rich. But its been good to me lately. Ive fallen for the bling. Even tho it occasionally chokes my DSL, and I get spammed half to death, Ive been finding a lot of cool graphics and good music on MySpace and even interacting with other humans in there. Forgive me.
