I've read this before. It's been recommended to me. Maybe because it was Casey/Liv in a time when that was unheard of. Maybe because of its darkness, because everyone knows that's what I love. Maybe it's because I just missed the ficathon when I became an SVU fan.

Regardless, I remembered it from the first line. The boots. Yes. The twin towers metaphor. God.

I thought I'd left feedback before, but I didn't see it in the ficathon or your private journal, so, oops?

You've captured Casey's impertinence and reflected it into something I like in her. Half-fear, half-bravado. I may have read this when I was studying Casey-voice.

Casey closes the folder they were working over and looks down. She is dying to know what exactly was different.

Man, I have been there.

She can see the lines around her eyes. Without thinking, she reaches out to push Olivia's hair back, and without thinking, Olivia leans her forehead on Casey's hand. She yawns. "Tired?" Casey asks, ruffling her hair.

Jesus, that's sexy. And so natural. I like your Olivia, too. ;) And I hardly ever like Olivias.

Now, she worries retroactively: What Olivia might have seen. What she might have done. What might have happened to her in dust-darkened streets, breathing heavy with her hands held over her face, and things crumbling all around.

::shivers::

Poor Olivia.

God, I miss sleeping in New York, listening to the traffic.

Hee. Is there a "Novak 101" class? First lesson: Why Casey wears lime-green suits with purple t-shirts.

Thank you. :) This is probably my least-nice Olivia, but I love her all the same.
