06: Fortune Cookie

Mar 17, 2006 15:20

I found myself in a place that the inhabitants call Tokyo... I think it's a city. One of them, seeing I was a little hungry, gave me what they called a fortune cookie and told me to break it open.
So, I broke it open and this darling little piece of paper came out, supposedly being my fortune.

Fortune Cookie said:

Beware silver-haired men....

You know, you could also read it as a message to all silver-haired to watch out as well as a message to watch out for silver-haired guys.

Ahh, who knows. It's just a cookie.

All silver-haired men should watch out for me? What can I do *laugh* that would make them fear me?
Should I be scared of you, Riku?

Maybe use your skills and hack into their journals, finding secrets that you could use as blackmail? Smile some people down with your charm?

Scared of me? I don't think so, but you can make your own decision. *grins*

Riku, you're making me blush. I didn't mean any harm into hacking into your journal, it was just practice. I'd never blackmail you, Riku. The real person you should worry about is Rikku, my cousin. She's prowling around somewhere, but hacking into a journal isn't her limit, like it's mine. She's a machina genius.
Smile people... ah, now I'm really blushing. I also can't stop smiling.

No... I don't think I need to be scared of you. You're rather sweet to say the least.

Hey, don't worry about that! What can I say, if I really wanted to keep things private, I wouldn't have put it where someone could access it.

Oh right, the bubbly one? Haha, I'll take your word and watch out for her!

And... thanks.

Haha, that sounds like something she would say. But... I like knowing more about you.

Bubbly is the perfect word for her. If you find her, tell her to be on the lookout for me.

...you're welcome, Riku. Anytime.

We'll have to find a way to meet up or something. I wouldn't mind talk to you more. You remind me of friends back on Destiny Island.

Gotcha. I'll point her your way if I see her.

Tell me about your friends on Destiny Island and I'll tell you about mine on Besaid. I'm curious to know what makes you so happy to go back home.

I think I found her, but I need to find her person to person.

You've got yourself a deal!

Well, there's Sora. He's my best friend, we've known each other forever. He's a good kid, has a smile on his face, always wanting to do the right thing. Bit of a goofball slacker at times, always wandering off or taking a nap and leaving me to do all the work.

Kairi, sweetest girl you'll ever meet. You remind me of her, actually. Always smiling, friendly, determined. I tell you, don't make Kairi mad or she'll make you regret it. She just appeared on the shores of Destiny Island one day, no idea where she came from or anything, but we all love her the same.

Then there was Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie. Tidus, real active guy. Was always practicing sword-fighting or swimming and what not. Wakka was the sensible one, feet on the ground kind of guy, making sure we didn't do anything stupid. Loved playing blitzball. Selphie... she reminds me of your cousin, Rikku. Bubbly, spontaneous, you know.

It was a great place, what can I say? Friendly people, a real paradise.

Okay, your turn!

Tidus.....W-wakka ( ... )

No, Wakka is not a common name. Um, orange hair, spiked up in the front, dark-skinned. Tidus was blond with blue eyes, athletic kind of guy.

But they were kids on the island. Not sure what happened to them after the island was destroyed.

....that's definately Wakka. I don't know anyone else with orange hair, that spikes up into one single curl.

Tidus. Tidus was my...dearest companion, shall we say? I can't even begin to describe the feelings stirring in my heart right now.

The island was destroyed? I wonder what could have happened to all of those children....

I'm really sorry.

The island was engulfed in darkness. Of everyone on that island, I've only heard from Kairi and Sora. But Kairi said the island is back... so maybe there's a chance they survived.

But again... I'm sorry.

...it's okay... really...

When I was searching for him after he...ah...faded away, I came across a sphere. This sphere had a recording of a man from 1000 years ago. He was upset then and he came back as an unsent, a person who could not leave Spira due to a powerful emotion. He hated Spira with a passion because the Bevellian army killed him and Lenne... a girl he loved.... because he wanted to save her and she was a summoner.

I...I became Lenne for him and she appeared, unsent, from the dressphere I was using. A dressphere allows us to equipe ourselves in powerful armor. Her armor was song. It was her dress from 1000 years ago.

And they faded together.

Don't worry Riku. I know all about disappointment from not seeing him again. I met him, I lost him, I found him again... this is just another obstacle I have to face.

But thank you for telling me. I needed to know.

You're welcome.

Yuna, he may be gone physically, but as long as you never forget him, he'll always live on.

And who knows, maybe with all this shifting going on, maybe he ended up elsewhere?

I know...it's just so hard. I feel like I'm always so close and yet.... I just can't grasp it...

I'll be sure to stay optimistic, as you are in finding Sora...
