Romantic Partner and the first time I saw...[TM Questions]

Aeon stood in her warehouse home, looking out the massive windows. Her own reflection the only one else in the place. The sky was dark and cloudy. A storm was approaching. It seemed like a perfect night to stay in. For lovers to sit by the fire and cuddle as a storm raged outside. Aeon sighed because though she was loved, she couldn't be with them. It was hard enough just to sneak out and be alone, even harder to see ones she loved.

There was one person she truly wanted to be with, unfortunately... she could never have it so. Since the first time she had laid eyes upon Caspian, she had been attracted to him. She had not expected to. Aeon honestly had not been looking for a relationship though somehow she fell into one. Caspian had been everything she ever wanted in a lover or partner. She didn't realize it at the time and only later knew it to be so.

Caspian was a unique man. Not because of his immortality, but because of the way he carried himself. Caspian was a confident man. He knew when to dress well but preferred leather. His manors were as the situation required them to be. He was also good at assessing a situation. Which meant he was also a good listener. But there was something else they shared, a like death and blood. To see it taken and know they had done it. Each had their own style. But both more importantly were hunters.

Aeon remembered the first time she laid eyes upon him. His traveled over her, her's over his. Each sizing the other up. It was when Callie was kidnapped and she aided in the capture and with Caspian... the demise of the man. That had also been the first time she saw anyone enjoy the spilling of blood as much as she did. She had been sure at the time if Alex had been there, he would have enjoyed it greatly as well. To see Caspian in action, it was putting poetry into motion. The way he handled a blade, cable to peel thin layers of skin away. He even honored Aeon that time and allowed her to handle one of his blades. To her, touching one was like touching one of Cupid's feathers. It sent a shiver of pleasure through her.

Aeon pressed her head to the window, tears falling silently. She missed him so. Her heart ached more and more with each passing day. And even more so every time she saw his grave. She went out as much as she could to see it, place flowers there and pour a shot of vodka over it. Sliding down the glass to curl up, arms around her knees, she thought back on all the firsts she had experienced with Caspian. Though few, they were so dear to her. Such as going to pick out the dogs. That was something else she would never forget. HIs laugh, they way him and Major instantly bonded. How he fell over laughing as Chewie jumped upon him then started licking his face.

She sighed softly, the dogs missed him.

She missed him.

And looking at the reflection the low lights casted of her reflections, it was also the first time she saw... great sadness and loneliness in her own eyes. That she truly and honestly saw it.
