Yes, it's an actual place. Roughly 40 minutes north of San Antonio and home to a quiet community of Antique shops, bed and breakfasts, and teeny restaurants. It's also the place my husband swept me away for a romantic, two day love fest (with the baby). It was awesome, it was necessary, it was good. It was so great to get out of the city and drive a short distance for quiet, stars, and open spaces. Joe can be unbelievably romantic and spontaneous.....something I am grateful for.

In other news, I'm quilting again which is exciting for me. I haven't done anything creatively for 8-9 years and have really missed the excitement of completing a project. I'm taking an advanced quilting class at a local sewing center and the class is called the $5 quilt. Basically, you can choose to do a table runner or a full sized quilt. Each month I'm responsible for doing one block and bringing it to class to prove it's done. Then I get the next month's block free (I paid $5 for the first block). Things are going well so far. I don't have a machine so I'm doing all the piecing by hand which is fun. Somewhere down the line I'd like to get a machine so I can start experimenting with other projects. I think I'm going to try my hand at sewing clothes. I've never done it before, never made a skirt etc....but I think I'd like to try.
