Catch up
I don't know how long it has been since I read my friends posts. I think about a month but LJ would only let me go back to Dec. 18 perhaps if I took some feeds off my friends list I could update faster. The local weekly and LOL Cats took up a lot of space.
Not much excitement in my life this year thankfully. In September and October I had to travel to Portland to manage Mother's apartment while she was in the infirmary and assisted living in her CCRC. She was able to return to independent living prior to my returning home. My sister was with me in September and then went back in November for a couple of weeks. She did agree to have someone come in once a week to help with personal care. Last year after her broken hip she stopped that arrangement after the first time. This time the arrangement seems to be working.
I turned 70 this year. I asked my son to take a picture and I saw the wrinkles have increased plus I have a bit of a tan from spending more time on the sun these days.
My daughter and family will be visiting in February to escape the Minnesota winter for a couple of weeks and take in the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. I want to visit the midwest this summer if the price of gasoline doesn't go too high. I have sworn off flying so if I can't drive or take the train I'm not going.
