Yureka! I might have possibly found something maybe?
No dear livejournal i have not completely forsaken thee. Like many relationships i needed some time to myself to get my head on straight...or at least find where i put the damn thing. But i have returned stronger, faster, better, and doubtlessly more crazy than before. Well, that part can't always be helped I suppose.
So i'm at work right now. Being naughty. hehehe. I needed to update. It was like an itch that oh so needed to be scratched. So here I am. What i'm supposed to be doing at the moment is finding and taking pictures of my C complex spliceosome samples with the electron microscope. Yes, very nerdy and probably rather unintelligible to most. It's my job. It's also the first time i've ever tried to image these bastards. So far i've taken some pictures of dark(er) splotchy things. Whether these are what i want or not has yet to be determined. There seems to be all sorts of crap on my grids and i don't have much experience looking at spliceosomes. Colloidal golds i can see no problem. This will probably take a few tries. Needless to say i'm a little frustrated and probably putting you to sleep.

1. Pumpkin cake at lab meeting! I don't know if it tastes better when made by a Ph. D. but it was DAMN GOOD. Hell, many kinds of food are preferable in pumpkin form/flavor. And you can't deny the sugar rush which will probably turn into a crash soon enough. Well, back to work i suppose. Yay smudgy things.
