I don't have a lot of time with all the shit I'm trying to get done, but I miss hanging out with you and doing sewing projects, so if you need an extra pair of hands for cutting, pinning, or easy sewing, and we can find a time in common (riiiiight erin ^_^) I'll be happy to come over and help.

(And yeah...boys and household stuff...they just shouldn't be allowed to speak...you know where I'm coming from - you've seen "our" room...)

Maybe there's a wooden frame that could be built to attach to the wall? Bolt the ikea table to that frame... dress it up with a dropcloth? This isn't something that could be done right away, with how busy you are... but your money might not be completely wasted just yet.
