People make me sad...
Was at the vet today getting Mingo's sutures taken out (he had a foot papilloma that had to be removed). Anyways, the receptionist almost had me going home with a second dog...apparently some people had been in with a 7 mo. old Pomeranian. It had broken it's leg, and they had waited too long to take it to the vet, so the leg had to be amputated. :( They couldn't afford the surgery, so they surrendered the dog to the vet, who went ahead and amputated the leg and is now trying to find it a new home.
How do you not feel the need to take your dog to the vet ASAP when it's broken a leg? I don't understand letting an animal be in that kind of pain without doing anything about it until it's too late...
...Also, neither here nor there, but how much do I wish that I wasn't too poor to have a second dog right now?
