I seriously wish so-called Blaine stans would stop bitching about the lack of character development. Also, if people refused to watch this week's episode? Then they honestly have no right to complain about lack of Blaine development because I damn well felt we got quite a bit ( Read more... )

Definitely not the worst ep ever. My biggest complaints are a) it should have had a warning at the beginning of the ep, and b) that entire Kurt/God Squad scene. While there were other moments where things felt... off timing-wise or whatever, that's just Glee. I was pleasantly surprised by actually being shown Blaine's anger over what happened, I was fine with him forgiving Sebastian and the Warblers, the Quinn stuff broke me more than expected and I was even okay with the amount of Karofsky, and the friendship with Kurt.

There were definitely problems in some of the messages that were sent. I mean, Glee keeps talking about dealing with the bully stuff, but all they've done is turn every bully into a victim. I'm not entirely certain what they're trying to get across there? And they also seemed to completely hand wave depression. Yes, because imagining where I would like my life to be in a few years magically makes the bad stuff go away. I wish! If only they had slipped in a few sentences about Dave preparing to start seeing a therapist, the problems with that scene would have been minimized. It makes me think of Tom Cruise when he said that Brooke Shields' post-partum depression wasn't real. :/

Ugh. Didn't mean to go into a rant.

This. When I was at my worst, if someone had asked me what I looked forward to in life I would've said there wasn't anything; I couldn't see that I'd ever be *capable* of being happy. It's nowhere near as simple as "think positively".
