Sanding, and sanding, and more sanding.
Revelations:
1) 60 grit paper works better for material removal than 80 grit. A surprising amount better actually...
2) Emptied the dust bag on my sander, and determined that it was filling *way* faster than I thought it was filling. Now I'm emptying it 3-4 times per sanding pass, rather than once every 3 passes or so. This contributes significantly to the longevity of the sand paper, and reduces the dust in the room a lot too. Amazing amounts even.
Overall it was a good sanding, but revealed that I'm not as far along as I had hoped. More material removal ahead before I move to spraying. After I sanded a *lot*, I went back and spackled the places that stood out as the deepest spots. Hopefully that will help speed things up.
I was lazy and took it easy once I was done sanding, so I didn't get any coats of primer up on the sanded wall. That will be the plan for tonight. Another paint day where I just try and get as many coats as I can on the wall. Hopefully that number will be 4, but we'll see.
I did start serious work on getting our version of RoboRally moved over to the current game engine, and getting the bugs squashed so it will be playable once the Theater is back up and running.
