this might not be what you are reffering to...but there is a way to make various custom friends groups thus selecting only specific people per entry to view...

I want to have 2 distinct groups, with differing members in each.
IE, some people on both, some people only on group A, some people only on group B.

Group A would be people for whom I want their journal entries to appear on my "Friends" page. IE, journals I subscribe to.

Group B would be people whom I want to see my private posts.

After reading the Faq, it appears that I could make this work. But I'd rather that was the design at the outset. When I have some time to kill, I might try and get that figured out.

That annoys me too. It is possible to make a custom group and view it, but it is not as easy as I want it to be.

Yeah, like I said above, I think it should have been the default organizational scheme they designed around.
