We thought we really had it this time. With Jeremie now able to virtualize us directly into Sector 5, losing the other four sectors didn't seem so bad. And with a sixth member on the team in the form of William, there would always be enough people to protect Lyoko in case something came up for one of us. We believed that we were the ones with the upper hand this time, not XANA.
We were wrong.
William was too much of a hothead, a loose canon. I don't know whether he was trying to prove himself as good as the rest of us, if he thought Lyoko was some kind of a game or if he was just showing off. But he wouldn't listen to me when I told him not to waste his time deleting the Creepers. He didn't listen when both Jeremie and I told him to run from the Scyphozoa. And XANA ended up possessing William and using him to destroy Lyoko.
So XANA's won once again, and we're left trying to figure out a way to stop him once again. Jeremie's been to the supercomputer a few times trying to figure out what still works and what doesn't; I haven't seen much of him lately which means it can't be good news. What's worse is that we ended up costing one of our teammates his life. Even if it still worked, Return to the Past wouldn't bring him back. Its only a matter of time before Principal Delmas contacts the authorities and William's parents.
My grandmother used to say to my father, "Don't count your chickens before they hatch." I think I understand what she means now. As for adding any more members to our group...I don't think we'll be exposing the secret of Lyoko to anyone else for a good long time.
