TM Response #370 - Flu Season

Jan 21, 2011 00:37

"Okay," Aelita murmured to herself, looking over the items spread out on her bed. "Let's see here...that should be everything."

Mentally Aelita went over her checklist one more time. There were the tissues, three boxes' worth. Those should be enough to last the weekend, if not half the week she figured. Nearby lay several boxes of various medications: cough syrup, pills to clear the sinuses, and lozenges to soothe a sore throat. Aelita had no idea which brands worked the best so she had gotten a couple boxes of the two that came the highest recommended.

The next item on the list was the hot water bottle. Laying a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel over the stomach had been her mother's favorite method of alleviating nausea. At least, it always seemed to work the way Aelita remembered it. Finally there was what Odd had taken to calling the "assorted entertainment package", an assortment of books, magazines and movies to keep the patient's mind off of his illness.

Satisfied, Aelita packed everything up into her backpack before heading out of her dorm room and in the direction of the boys' floor.

Hopefully this year they could get Jeremie through flu season without any major disasters.
