TM Response #246 - 5 Steps of Negotiation
Step Number One: Never assume that you know everything about your opponent.
That was the mistake Daddy made when we first were virtualized on Lyoko, only to find XANA's monsters waiting for us. While I hid in a tower he tried to reason with XANA to allow us to stay. But what Daddy didn't realize was that XANA was too far gone from his original programming to listen.
Step Number Two: No interruptions.
That was my mistake. I didn't listen to Daddy when he told me to stay put; I left the tower when I heard the monsters attacking. It was my fault that Daddy got kidnapped by XANA, and that he was able to steal my humanity in the first place.
Step Number Three: Never put Odd in charge.
Just...trust me on this one.
Step Number Four: If necessary, get the hell out.
Seriously. If things get ugly, there's no need to stick around. Get out and get out fast, preferably before the monsters start attacking.
Step Number Five: Sometimes it helps to catch your opponent off-guard.
All I'll say in addition is that kissing is a tactic that should be reserved only while in negotiations with one's boyfriend.
