Omg, so this is pretty impossible to happen, but I can't help getting super excited over it. Which sucks, because I know I can't actually do it, so it'll just be that much more disappointing when the time comes and I'm not enjoying it.
BUT WHO CARES YOU GUYS STILL NEED TO CHECK THIS OUT.
70000tons of Metal
A huge ass metal cruise that takes you from Florida to Mexico and back!?!? And there's supposed to about forty bands, and these guys are LEGIT. Seriously, check out some of our faves that will be there!!!:
-Amon Amarth
-Blind Guardian
-Dark Tranquillity
-Ensiferum
-Finntroll
-Moonspell
-Testament
-Tyr
-Uli Jon Roth
Some of those I added for personal bias because HOLY SHIT YOU'RE TELLING ME I CAN SEE ULI JON ROTH PLAYING ROCK BOTTOM RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FUCKING FACE ARE YOU KIDDING?????
But, look at all that! Some of our favorite guys that we have to wait ages to come around for on a regular tour will all be just chilling on the same boat ready to play music for us all day long. And there's a point where you can just hang out and chat with them, and man I'd probably be too nervous to actually try and go and talk to any of them, but the fact that the option is available is amazing.
So, I don't know if this news has actually been around for a while and you guys are like LOL ALLIE OLD NEWS IS OLD but I just heard about it in an email from my dad's friend Mark (I'm sure I've mentioned him before - if not, he's my dad's old college friend and is way into music and the Pittsburgh Penguins and is a hilarious dude) like three hours ago and I've been in a tizzy over it since. Of course, I need to cut that out because the prices are sky high, which I should've expected, but I guess when I first saw it and realized how awesome it was my whole rational thinking went out the window and I was all I'MA GONNA DO THISSSS.
But, even though we can't afford it, the site itself is pretty neat, with lots of pictures of things we won't be able to partake in. So in that sense, you guys should totally check it out! :p
