ok, so I'm gloating, deal with it!

So, after reading everyone elses Christmas haul, I thought I'd join in....like anyone's actually going to care, but nonetheless, I shall continue.

I didn't go in for the present ideas list this year, I thought I'd leave it up to the rellies to work it out...gods only knows I never get any help with ideas for them. So, it was all pleasant surprises.

From my beloved I got .....

ROTK EE (yay, at last!)

Black Books complete series DVD's (I absolutely love Black Books, if you haven't seen any episodes yet, I highly recommend you to try to)

Toblerone&on&on&on&on (mmmmmmm **licks lips**)

and Brother Fish by Bryce Courtney (we're talking LOTR in length, so give me a month or 3 to get through it)

From my mum I got (combined B/day & Xmas pressie) a voucher for Plants Plus (a garden centre), a glass terrerium, and a lavender bath pamper pack. I always love getting mum's pressies :D

From Dad I got $100 to get my hair streaked with purple :)) can you believe that? I mentioned it once and he grabbed the idea and ran with it. Cooooolllll. I'm not sure when I'll get it done, but it'll be sometime in the near-ish future.

From littlest bro Ben I got a Dymocks voucher - always a winner with me

From bigger lil bro Aidan I got.........Super-posable, talking, 15 inch TREEBEARD! :D **insert super-huge-mungous-grin here** except his batteries are flat, so I'm not sure what he says yet, but I'll get batteries tomorrow or something .... anyway... awww .... gotta love a brother that's into figurines... he gets me the presents I'd never buy myself.

Nanna (mum's mum) and Nonna (my step-mum's mum) both gave me money, which I've already spent on a bunch of plants for the side garden which I'll plant tomorrow. I'll go and prepare the soil out the front for the plants I'll get with the voucher mum gave me this weekend... tis in a terrible state, so it'll be a while before I can plant there, but I've got big plans! Grandma (dad's mum) got me another platter, Japanese style (yes, I have a kitchenwear fettish, what can I say)

So that was my incredibly happy Christmas haul.

Oh, Dad also gave me a stack of copied DVD's too ... which I'm slowly getting through, although unfortunately I have to watch them on the Xbox because our lame-arse expensive Panasonic DVD player won't play copied DVD's...grrrr. oh well. I'm half way through King Arthur at the mo'. I couldn't keep my eye's open last night, so I reckon I've got about half an hour left to watch. I've got to say it's better than I thought it'd be. I've also watched Brother Bear, Hell Boy, Shrek 2 and a few others that I can't remember right now. :)) I think all up he's given us about 40. oh, I finally watched Hidalgo (have I already mentioned that in another post?) bugger-bum-wee-piss-pubic-hair-shit that I didn't go and see it at the cinema. oh well, such is life. I will be buying it though, because the copy is a true bootleg, as in, people crinckling chip packets and such.

I promise promise promise I'll start my post-christmas diet soon..... just as soon as the fruit-mince pies, peanuts, cheese, chocolate and copious amounts of alcohol have departed the house. I am so weak.

Speaking of which.... after all the stress of organising Xmas day for 50 people, it went off without a hitch. ALL THAT STRESS FOR NOTHING! but I'm glad it's done and over. I just wish there wasn't quite so much food left over. The 6 different cheeses we bought for platters for the day forgot to be put out, so now (gosh, unfortunately) we have to eat them. I promise, I really did forget to put them out, really, I did. Same with the fruitmince pies. gosh, what a pity.

ok, enough gloating. I hope you all had a good new year. I was in bed at 12.01am..... woohoo, happy new year...zzzzzzzzz ..... I hate new years on my own. It's our anniverary to, so it's not like i'm going to go out and flirt my arse off, that just wouldn't be right. So I went and saw A Series of unfortunate events which would have been good if the audience hadn't been such a bunch of twats and maybe let a laugh escape every now and again. So I went home and watched the whole first series of Black Books and had a bloody good laugh. "Right, that's it, we're closed, you can all bugger off now" "but it's only 3 o'clock" "I don't care, bugger off"

I can't wait for the weekend!
