firstly...
apologies to all for the lack of responses from me of late. I decided an abstinance from chat and LJ was called for, to re-centre myself a bit.
September is always a bad time for me. Actually, August leading into September is.
I'm not sure why, but I get a bad case of the sad's and the poor-me's about now, and no matter how much I see it coming, how much I try to snap out of it, and how much I do to aviod it, you can count on it to be there every year. but enough dwelling on that... life goes on...and now my mood has too.
secondly...
I just thought I'd let you all know, I think it's time to get an investment property. We've gained enough equity on our house over the past year, and I think a bank will lend us the money, but only time will tell, I'll look into it when Ian gets back on Tuesday. I'm wanting to get a house, not a unit, and I want to get it down south, where prices are still reasonable, and it's just such a nice area, even though parts of it are inhabited by losers, there's still nice bits. The only problem with this is that it's going to be a long drive to check out these places, but I'm sure I can arrange to see 4 or so at a time.
Thirdly...
I'm going to start painting again. I've got all the bits and pieces I need, now it's just a matter of putting them together :)) I've promised myself that Sunday will be the day, if not before-hand. Time will tell, as it always does.
Lastly...
I'm going to work on the front garden...at last! I haven't done any gardening in the last few months, because of the weather, except for pruning the nectarine tree a bit, but now I've got plans, big plans. I'm going to hire someone to clean up the dead palm leaves on the whopper of a palm we have, I'm going to poison the lawn and put pebbles around the trees, I'm going to transplant my roses to the front where pooch won't be able to chew them, I'll plant heaps of lavendar and flowering ground covers like dark-eyed susan, and I'll FINALLY chop down the daggy gum tree. oh, so much to do, I hope it's sunny this weekend!
