the temperamental post

Sometimes you're lulled into thinking that there's only that much depression a person can feel... Right?

WRONG!

*Alaris wishes she had something to jump up and down on and cry*

Of course I don't run around Singapore weeping and with dark shadows under my eyes looking gaunt and pale and horribly out-of-it. :P Some people may even go so far as to say that Alaris is cheerful every time they see her. But...

It is normal to be sad sometimes, but I do wish people didn't have to be sad at all. Why do I have to be so... *thinks of a word for it* temperamental?

I totally feel like sulking.

On to another topic. I don't get people who aren't affected by ghost movies and stuff. They can sit there and laugh at the scary parts while Alaris is cringing inside and imagining things already. It doesn't even have to be something as real as movies... Just writing an entry about this at 1.38am in the morning makes Alaris think of things, although she's writing about them as purely fictional. And books are bad too.

Like, there was once this partially science fiction book called the Hangman's Noose or something, and in the end it was all explained away, but Alaris still got scared of it. Today I also read this book which had NOTHING at all to do with proper ghosts, but it involved some girls in white dresses, and Alaris was creeped out.

And I collect images, so each time you recall creepy stuff, everything comes back.

I suppose this means that by the time I'm thirty, I'd have collected so much poisonous ghostly matter that I wouldn't dare to turn off the lights.

It's only a cover! I mean, being cheerful. It's like a veil; the core is still sad under everything. It used to be the other way, though, happy underneath with sadness playing the part of the clouds obscuring the cheery sunshine. Rawr.

Rant on: There are some people obsessed with the world cup, and probably very many of them at that. Alaris knows this sounds really silly, but - I GET SO ANNOYED WHEN PEOPLE SWEAR BECAUSE OF IT.

Why don't people just accept the match results? It's so easy to provoke them too, as soon as you mention the country who beat their favoured team, they sulk and SWEAR and you just feel like slapping them. :D

They make it seem like they don't have a life outside the world cup. As though when you wake them up tomorrow after the finals, you'll only find their remains: a pile of dust.

Take that! *Alaris enjoys the imagery* And then we shall be rid of them. I stamp out their futile lives.

*stamp stamp stamp*

Signing off,

The Lady Jade: Alaris.
