Yeah, I know you were all just holding your collective breath waiting for me to say... anything.
Well, I've been busy. I've got a little free time now so I can share my wisdom (folly) again.
To start, I'd like to ask if anyone but me has noticed that our two party system has turned into a British style Ruling Party, Opposition Party system with almost no difference between the candidates. Where are the statesmen among these politicions? The last I can name was Paul Wellstone, a man I never agreed with 100% but I could trust to do what he thought was right and fuck the next election. I can respect that.
These days elections are won or lost based on marketing more than product. Admittedly, the Republicans had been feeding us a product so unpalatable it was bound to have a backlash (remember New Coke?) but what do the Democrats have to offer us? Well, they're Not Republicans! Sort of.
Bah, what a bunch of crap they're force feeding us. I'd rather watch America's Next Top Model or Dancing With The Stars... at least there'd be a decent voter turnout.
