Case Management
Shaky, shaky, nervous, crazy, just got done with psychiatric rehabilitation assessment, should be contacted by someone next week, people are available 24/7 and actually come to where I live to help me out, should be able to deal with medical assistance application, which was just finally denied yesterday after ten months, supposedly from not having submitted all the information they needed, without actually telling me what they needed and what I supposedly didn't submit, just like with temporarily disability assistance like a month ago, which has still not sent me the letter for an appeal hearing that I'm supposed to get. They supposedly help in different areas:
Daily Living Skills: Personal Hygiene, Nutrition Management, Meal Preparation, Household Maintenance, Budgeting and Money Management, Personal Safety
Community Living Skills: Linkage to Community Resources, Development of a Support Network, Communication Skills, Transportation Skills, Recreational Skills, Safety in the Community, Understanding Entitlements and Benefits, Coordination of Case Management Services
Co-Occurring: Understanding the Relationship Between Substance Abuse and Mental Illness; Integration of Mental Health Substance Abuse Resources, Treatments, and Interventions*
Medication Awareness, Education and Monitoring: Understanding Side Effects, The Importance of Keeping Medical and Psychiatric Appointments, The Importance of Medication, Understanding Signs and Symptoms of Illness, Following Doctor's Recommendations and Orders, Exercise and Fitness, Symptom Management, Stress Management
Identifying Services: Locating Clinical Services, Helping Complete the Intake Process, Helping to Schedule and Keeping Appointments, Helping to Apply for Resources and Entitlements
*I do not and have never had problems with substance abuse. I do not drink, have never smoked, and have not experimented with any controlled substances. The only drugs I've ever taken have been over-the-counter painkillers (history of headaches and migraines) and things which have been prescribed to me (antibiotics, antidepressants, et cetera).
