almost done...

Well, it's really bizarre to think that I'm already done with this year.  I'm glad that it's summer, but at the same time I don't really know how I'm gonna survive the summer at home.  I got so used to being up here in Rome, away from family.  And I was talking with Emily yesterday, and we both agree that everytime we go back home to Atlanta it's like a culture shock.  It's so different here in Rome.  And it's like we have to get used to the big city all over again everytime we go home.  I guess I'll have to get used to it if I'm gonna be spending my summer there.  I think it's because Rome is a small town with like 30,000 people, small roads, hardly ever nay traffic and when there is traffic it's nothing compared to Atlanta, there are mountains and grassy fields, farms, and people here just all seem to be relaxed.  In Atlanta there are like 400,000 people or something like that, I-285 with it's horrendous traffic, downtown with the busy streets and tall buildings all crowded together, and everyone always seems to be in a rush.  It really is a culture shock to be in Rome for like a month or so and then come home to visit.  Of course there are things I like about both places.  I won't get into that though.  So, it's Sunday and I'm going home for good on Wednesday after my last exam.  So sad...it's very weird.  Our walls in the dorm are bare because we took down all of our pictures and chriistmas lights.  Mary Frances' parents came up today to take down her loft and take some of her other stuff home.  My dad and Sofia came up on Friday to take some of my stuff too.  Our room looks so sad!  And since I'm leaving Wednesday and Mary Frances isn't leaving until Saturday, so she's gonna be all by herself in our room with no TV and all of the furniture gone except for her bed, dresser, and desk.  I feel kinda bad for leaving early.  Well, I'm sure I should probably be doing something productive.....such as studying for my Bio exam tomorrow.  Bye for now.
