Trip to NY and another neat name decoder

Jan 22, 2006 13:28

So sorry it's been a while. I was on a roll and then I got sidetracked. But here we go...We left on Monday night and the ride going to NY was a nice one. There weren't many people on the plane and it was smooth and easy. I got really far in the book I'm reading (just a few more chapters left now...). Monday night was spent saying hellos and huggles and kisses and admiring how much James, Louis, and Caitlyn have grown, and grown they have, as children do. And then shortly after it was bedtime because we were all pooped.

Tuesday Alex and I went to a karoke bar and I sang Evanescense's "My Immortal" ^_^ Alex and Debbie sang two songs each. Debbie bought me a Long Island Iced Tea and...it wasn't my cup of tea so to speak. I had two sips and couldn't drink anymore, it just had a terrible aftertaste (which is to be expected with alchohol, but I don't like iced tea very much ^.^;; but it was the thought that counted and I thanked her. Then Alex's boyfriend Jack came to the bar and I got to talk to him and get to know him. Then he took us out to the Empress Diner where we got to talk more without screaming over the loud music. He gets points in my book, he's a gentleman and fun. And he's a gamer, so we discussed Mortal Kombat and other games and he was impressed with my MK knowledge. I'm a Mortal Kombat geek, and proud of it ^_^

Wednesday...didn't really do much. I slept in until 1:00 in the afternoon; Jack came by for a visit later that night, and then...bedtime for all.

Thursday my parents and I went to my Aunt Debbie's house. William, Nick, and I played Uno and talked and stuff. It was cool.

Friday...the Wedding. I've said it once, and I'll say it again. It seems to me that the last day (or the day before you leave from a trip) is always the most fun. The ceremony was beautiful - Frankie was so handsome, his bride, Stephanie was gorgeous, and Alex was beautiful in her bridesmaid dress. Caitlyn made friends with the ring bearer (and I think she made a boyfriend) and they were just adorable! Alex and I danced the entire night and it was wonderful to see Carolyn again. I came home with many wedding souveniers *laughs*. After the wedding I spent some time with James and Louis and my Uncle Jimmy, played pool with them. I suck at it, royally, but it was fun.

Saturday, we went home...I'd rather not go into boring detail, but I'll put it this way. We boarded the plane at 7:30, on time.

And didn't get off the ground until 9:30. There were a bunch of planes in front of us. It gave me time to keep reading though. Overall, I had fun and though I don't like flying very much, I'd be happy to go back for another visit.

And now for another name decoder...thingy.
