So, couldn't go into December without updating the old Live Journal.

Speaking of which, I can't believe it is almost December! The semester is almost over; only a week and a half until final exams. Pretty exciting stuff.

I guess I haven't updated in so long because I've been pretty content with life. I've been to church regularly recently. That has been great. I've been sticking to my worship routine. Just like anything it is a discipline that needs to be worked at, and I am happy with how things have gone so far on that front.

Jon and I have been watching ER every week for about the past month. I still haven't figured out if it is because we actually enjoy the show, or just enjoy how awful it is. Stanley Tucci was a big draw, but I fear he may be off the show now. He and his quiet dignity and painfully depressing life will be missed.

Last night's episode was one of those social issue episodes that shows like to do from time to time. This one was on illegal immigration. Some illegal does a noble act; her child was born here and is now in college, and he gets killed by some racist white guy over a misunderstanding. So, I guess the point they are making is that illegal immigrants are great people too, and certainly they are, but they also deserve better than what we are giving them, which I'm not so sure about. Jon and I talked about it for a good 10 minutes after the show ended. I'm not sure if he agreed with me, but I was slightly put off by the episode. I don't see how a greater wrong makes a lesser wrong alright. I'm too uninformed though to really take a hard stance on it I guess.

I am getting pulled into the election coverage now. All I do at work is read cnn.com - especially the politics section. I'm starting to warm to Huckabee, even though I think it a conflict of interests for a minister to run for public office. Paul has dropped a bit in my rankings. I like Romney, but not as much as before the youtube debate.

God bless
