SUMMARY: Key is sick of all the stereotypes his fans impute him with.
Aish, seriously... for a couple of minutes now, Key was sitting at his desk, reading a fan-fiction some girl from Germany had written. Sometimes the boy just couldn't understand why his fans had to stereotype him so often. Again and again he had to read about his so-called umma behavior or his diva-like appearance, or what made the matter even worse - his pink cell phone! And god knows - he never, really NEVER had a pink mobile phone! But well, he already got used to the fact that his fangirls had a really excited fantasy.
Well, anyways, the fan fiction that he was reading right know was just too much. He found all the cliches in it, all the ones that he hated so much. The German girl wrote that he was the first to go to sleep, because of his much needed beauty sleep. She stated that he got really bad tempered when he didn't get his sleep, because his group mates woke him up. Oh yeah, and she mentioned that he would need at least half an hour daily to style his hair, although his stylist noona would change it anyway.
"Hyung!", he could hear the maknaes' melodic voice call out for him before the door cracked open. "Hyung, there you are", Taemin sounded pleased to having at least found his hyung in their shared bedroom. "What are you doing here all by yourself?" Key averted his eyes from the laptop in front of him to turn around in his seat and face the younger boy that now was standing in the middle of the room. "Oh Taemin-ah, me? ... Eh, just things, were you looking for me?" Slowly the older male rose from his chair and stretched his stiff muscles, while his sight still lay on Taemin. "Yes, the others wanna order dinner, will you come out and decide with us?" "Sure", he closed the notebook and followed the boy out. That was another point he never got. There were so many fan fictions which told that he was a great cook, that he prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner for his band mates and that he wouldn't ever let Onew use his kitchen. But they all were wrong. Actually, before he became a cast on 'Raising An Idol' he never used to be that good behind a stove. He was glad when he had managed to boil an egg or to do the basics of Kimchi.
And just to come back to the main cliches, Key wasn't an umma. He didn't even try to be one. Sure, he loved his group mates and he really did care for them, but as their friend, not as a mother or a father or whatever else. If you really wanted to say that he cared as a family member for them, you should say that he was like an older sibling. That was how they were, how they lived together. They cared for each other like brothers, not as mother, father, oldest, middle and youngest sibling. What was the other big stereotype? Oh well, his diva antics. Yeah, Key knew that this wasn't something his fans came up with. It was something that actually was true - well, we should say more or less, at least. Yes, he could dance to girl group songs and yes, he could be a bitch at sometimes, he wouldn't deny that. But his fans tended to exaggerate about his diva-like behavior. He wasn't exactly the same boy - like the one he portrayed in front of the cameras - at home. He had other sides on him too, but he had the feeling, that a whole lot of fans didn't even consider that as a fact. Maybe it was time for a change of his image.
Key followed the youngest of the group into the living room, where the other boys were waiting for them - or not. Jinki was sitting in the armchair, totally occupied with an episode of "Star Golden Bell", while Jonghyun was leaning over the sofa's backrest, to have a look over Minho's shoulder, so he could read the menu that the younger one was holding. With a big smile, Taemin stood next to Jonghyun and was looking over Minho's shoulder too. "Let's have the party pizza for dinner", he suggested and pointed to one spot on the menu. "Sounds good to me", came mumbling from Onew, before his attention went back to the TV. "I'm ok with that, too", Key decided and so it was him that got the telephone and ordered their dinner. He already knew which toppings the pizza should have. He just knew the likings of his band mates all too well, maybe he had some umma-like habits? No, probably not. He just had a good memory what was also why he could dance to girl songs so well. And anyway, they already lived together for so long, it would be poor, if he didn't even know the tastes of his best friends, wouldn't it?
***
Dinner went smooth and Key was now going back to his bedroom, while Jonghyun and Minho were cleaning the dishes. Jinki and Taemin sat together in the livingroom and played some kind of game, that Key didn't want to join.
Again he sat down in front of his notebook and searched for another fan fiction, although he already knew that he just would get upset once more. And indeed - it didn't took him long to find another two or three stories that got him worked up without even reading them. Pairing: OnKey, or pairing: JongKey, was all he needed to see to sigh in disbelief. Really, weren't there any other pairings? Such as KeyMin? Or at least KeyJong or something like that? When his fans already made him gay, why couldn't he at least be once the one that was in charge of the topping? Oh, yeah, he forgot, because of his feminine looks (and not to forget his feline eyes that got so often emphasized). He was just the perfect girl and damn, how could a girl be the one topping? A soft knock on the bedroom door jarred him out of his thoughts and when he turned around, he once again was face-to-face with the maknae. Taemin had closed the door and was leaning against the solid wood, sending asking looks to his hyung. Wordlessly Key got up from his chair and approached the younger male leaning on the door. In a matter of seconds their lips found their perfect counterpart and met for a short, tender kiss, before Key embraced the other male. Suddenly he was stereotyping for himself when he thought, that their lips were just "a too perfect to be true" match. And to crash another cliche that concerned Taemin, Key was just too willing to let the younger boy do the topping, although it meant that his life as a bottom was confirmed... wasn't it?
