OOC: New Direction for Tenebrae Nostro
Amelia is over a millennia and a half old (apprx). There is not much that she has not done either in a community or any trails that I can put her through now that would not be seen as--redundant and recycled? Meaning that as a writer writing for an Elder, who is supposed to have all this experience and trials behind her, I can't have her be weak or seemingly surprised by things that are trivial (or even significant) because, as this being, she not only experienced it already but perhaps experienced it ten times over. Lately, this had made it harder to write for her in making things "new". She's been getting sleepy on me.
I need to push her and Matayas toward a direction where I still remain true to character(s), but give them challenges that tests their very being on a level that they have not yet experienced. As a result, I'm moving her/them in a new direction and hope that it helps.
The theme: Demons and Angels fight for control over "heaven". Earth is the recruiting ground for new soldiers. When Amelia was in hell, she caught the eye of hell-bound demons, who want her kind for their front lines. As an Elder, she needs to stop this before this occurs. But as she navigates this battle, definitions of "good"and "evil" will be tested and leave her wondering if she is fighting the right side. This is an allegorical/epic RP/fiction-set that will be drawing from Demon: the Fallen (WOD) and other fandoms.
Anyone is welcome to join, this is flexible as long as it is in keeping with the theme and still has that UW feel. I don't mean to be all "me, me, me, me" with Amelia with this one (then again, I can *only* make up ideas for my muse, right?), but please note that, indeed, I've been trying to craft something that will come as a challenge to her and continue to spark my interest in writing things for her. If anyone wants to interweave, supplement, branch off their own story lines through this or join in, that would be more than great.
The basic outline for Amelia:
Shadow Game: Amelia reveals to Matayas what she has been living with ever since she came back from hell and tells him about her so-called new abilities.
Whispers in the Dark: In secret, Amelia and Matayas "wed" sealing their fates by her shared blood that passes her new "gift" to him. He is made an Elder.
The Death of Virtue, PI, PII. PIII: Summary of PII or so: Amelia tries to destroy the demon that is planning the attack on her kind, by learning its "true name" and with other help. It tries to posses her body and an Archangel binds it into her body as a curse upon the demon and allows Amelia to keep her soul in order to tame the beast. It gives a cryptic message on how to defeat it. Amelia realises that she can't fight it while encased in a human body and has to give herself to hell in order to defeat the demons from within.
Changing of the Guard:Matayas deciphers the Archangels message and sacrifices his soul for Amelia. Killing her, he commits a deadly sin, but makes her body uninhabitable to the demon who can't live inside the innocent. Amelia becomes an "angel" (of lowest sorts). Matayas then kills himself, another deadly sin, making his body prime real estate for the demon as they go down to hell.
A Demon falls to an Angels Kiss: In the battle between heaven and hell, Amelia comes up against Matayas
Redemption: Learning that "good" and "bad" aren't all they were cracked up to be, Amelia starts questioning her decisions and also tries to save Matayas from hell, but falling from grace herself.
The Nights Templar: Amelia learns that there is only one way to save her kind. But will they follow her into battle this time when they learn what that means exactly?
Absolution: Well, maybe.
