Basch had not expected what had occurred at the prom. He had been a good deal sure that Vaan held some kind of feelings for Penelo. However, it was obvious now that he was gravely mistaken. Being a man of honor, Basch knew that he would have to explain to Vaan exactly what had happened the night of the Prom. It was not proper or fair for him to keep such a thing from the fledgling skypirate.
A pot of coffee was brewed for the occasion, though he highly doubted he wanted to experience Vaan on caffeine, he simply knew that some found the aroma calming in a nervous situation. All that was left for the Captain was to wait for the arrival of the younger blond.
