Shinjiro was at the door, dressed nicely, outright ignoring the people as they came and went aside from when he had to get the door, or make a crass remark about some jackass that looked at him in a way he didn't like.
What? Just because he dressed nice didn't mean he had to act nice.
His fingers were twitching for a cigarette, and he kept chewing on his lip - eventually it started bleeding and he had to stop, deciding to take a quick break to fetch something to drink from the punch bowl. He finally took a sip when he'd settled back by the door and stopped, staring at his cup as he swallowed thoughtfully.
Oh yeah, that was vodka in there. He could recognize it in an instant.
...Shinjiro shrugged his shoulders and remained where he was, drinking the rest of the cup. Well- it wasn't his fault, no one could blame him for it, right? He'd just keep on up at the punch while he guarded the door.
(Fine with any tags taking place at any time throughout the night, as Shinjiro's pretty much gonna be in one place.)
..."Aragaki." The voice seemingly came out of nowhere. Having just arrived, Mitsuru quickly spotted Shinjiro, though she almost had to double-take.
She now stood in front of him, adorning a dress of her own, and making sure to stay out of the way of incoming guests. It had been a long time since she'd even seen him without the beanie.
"You look nice." Her voice was clean of any sarcasm.
Shinjiro reddened slightly at Mitsuru's words because he knew there was no way she would say that sarcastically - or just to be polite.
"Kirijo." he greeted in return, straightening up and trying to look a bit more presentable - Something he only ever did with Mitsuru. "You too, but that goes without saying."
"Oh? I never knew you were so talented with flattery, Aragaki." She followed with a hummed laugh. "Thank you, though. I'm not one for dresses, but the occasion called for it."
He seemed to be taking the job pretty seriously, and Mitsuru was glad to see so. She actually worried about Shinjiro quite a bit; the law only being one of many topics that came to mind. She refrained from nagging him about things, though, knowing that was mostly Akihiko's job. She only pitched in when she saw fit.
"You wouldn't happen to know if Aigis is already inside, would you? I'm supposed to meet up with her."
Shinjiro shook his head, fingers twitching at his side as usual for want of something to smoke. Damn, he was going to have to get gum and a rubix cube or something. This oral fixation and lack of something to do with his hands was killing him more than the nicotine withdrawal.
"Haven't seen her yet." he said, "You can hang out here if you want, or I can just tell her where you'll be when she shows."
Aigis had never managed to find a dress that suited her. Too caught up with her current state of being, she had forgone what opportunities she had been given to obtain something really nice, and had fallen back on the simple blue dress she had first met three of the SEES members in for the first time. However, it fit her a bit differently now, as it was snug around flesh instead of unyielding metal
( ... )
Minato seemed content enough this evening, though his expression was mostly the usual blank state that it almost always held. He seemed unconcerned with the fact that Aigis was both human and comfortably wrapped upon his arm. As for his clothing, he'd managed to rent a cheap black tux that fit moderately well. The only thing missing was the bowtie, which instead he'd opted for his old school uniform's blue ribbon tied in a sagging bow around his neck instead.
He was sort of half-leading, half-following Aigis around as they walked to the prom and when they entered he was more than happy to let her redirect him towards the doorman. Who turned out to be Shinjiro. Dressed up for the occasion. He blinked once.
Impressed, he began to say something when he saw Mitsuru at about the same time Aigis did. He, too, blushed slightly and let his eyes slide back away. He settled for a moment and then tried again. "...You two look nice," he managed in a completely neutral tone.
"Hey lovebirds." Shinjiro greeted Minato and Aigis. Funny, she didn't look much like a robot from here. Whatever.
"Go on in, have fun, cut up the dance floor or whatever. If you see Akihiko harass the hell out of him for me." Shinjiro grumbled out, just a bit distracted as he seemed to keep glancing inside at a certain detective and his... date?
"Motherfucker she better not be..."
Right, attention back to his friends. Well, apparently friends, according to everyone. Even if he only remembered Mitsuru. "Watch out for the punch, though."
Shinjiro was busy stuffing the bottle away to be hidden for a later date, but he wasn't one to pass up an opportunity no mater how suspicious. It at least warranted investigation. "Alright, 'goddess', what's the price?"
What? Just because he dressed nice didn't mean he had to act nice.

"Not unless you got a bottle of Southern Comfort hiding in your rack." he replied sarcastically.
[OOC: The mun apologizes in advance for her character being a crass jerk]

Shinjiro took the business card, looking it over with more than a small measure of suspicion.
"Bullshit. Unless 'wishes' is some catchphrase for a 'happy ending' or somethin'."
