Of course Edge would go for the dumplings. Well, it wasn’t for the actual food, but to meet a certain someone’s wife. And possibly hit on her too. Whistling he looked around the room. Now, where was the lovely wife of Ce? This was going to be the greatest afternoon he had in awhile.

Blissfully unaware that her first guest to the party would be the King of Eblan, Da Qiao was quick to wipe the look of fatigue off her face and replace it with one of glee. “Welcome!” She greeted with such a darling smile. “You are the first one here.” Great, now hopefully he wouldn’t mind taking a few dumplings back to his dorm whenever the party is over. Da Qiao hoped that the allure of free food would incite more visitors to stop by for a plate or two.

“I hope you have a healthy appetite, I’ve made far too many.” She said as she hastily prepared a plate for him.

“They look as delicious as the woman serving them.” He grinned a bit. There was, of course, the thought that he was now flirting with his friend’s wife. But, that was simply how he was. He was a flirt through and through and nothing was really going to change that. “I have never had these before. What is inside them?”

A bright blush appeared upon her cheeks once she heard what this man said. He caught her off guard with that flirtatious comment and even made the poor girl end up stuttering like a schoolgirl. "W-well! I am certain I am not that...um..tasty!" Da Qiao replied with a giggle.

"Oh, I made several different types of dumplings. That particular batch has pork and onion shavings within it." The other dumplings she made were made either with chicken or with vegetables. "I have others if you would like to try but the pork ones tend to be everyone's favorite."

Oh, well wasn’t that cute. Grinning a bit he gave her a thumbs out. “Oh, I’d like to try all of your dumplings.” He was certainly going to be in a mess a trouble once Sun Ce found out he was hitting on his wife. Oh well, he’d cross that bridge when he got to it. Though, he never crossed bridges in the normal way.

Thinking or rather hoping that this man was talking about the food, Da Qiao worked quickly to fix two other plates for him featuring the different dumplings. "Alright then!" She cheered once she had the dumplings all lined up and ready for Edge to try.

"Would you like to try the pepper sauce I made? It is a tad spicy, so not add too much!" There are two ways to eat dumplings, first way is to add sugar to them and eat them as a sweet but yummy treat with soy sauce. The second way to eat dumplings is to use a fiery sauce mixed in with the soy and vinegar. It was obvious that Da Qiao would be fonder of the first method rather than the second but considering she knows how Bofu likes his food a tad spicy, she decided to create this unholy concoction of peppers and spice.

What would a party be without the Little Feline Conqueror to barge in on it? He sauntered in with his usual panache and didn't stop short till he was right in front of two of his most favorite people. His automatic reaction was to hug Da; his 'polite society' inhibitor said PDA was a no-no. Besides, he suddenly felt awkward with Edge there.

Speaking of Edge... "You never got me any gummibears," he said with a soft punch to the other man's shoulder. And as far as the flirting went, well, Sun Ce himself was a natural flirter and wouldn't stop even as a married man. (Probably wouldn't do it noticeably directly in front of Da though.) On the other hand, he was pretty possessive and Edge might want to keep it to a friendly minimum around the Little Chief.

He turned his attention to Da Qiao and grinned. "Hey, Da. Making new friends by their stomachs, eh?"

Oh, look who it is, the little Bofu. "Well, I'm sorry they were out at the store. I got you a Slurpee, at least. Sheesh." Sun Ce was so demanding, especially when Edge had just been hitting on his wife. Sigh, there was so little time and so many people to flirt with.

Her face lit up once Bofu appeared. His cheerful grin was simply infectious since she found herself smiling as well. Da Qiao watched silently as Edge and Sun Ce spoke, wondering idly what ‘gummibears’ are and giggling at the two of them. Edge and Sun Ce’s relationship felt fairly reminiscent of the wonderful friendship her lord has with Lord Yu. That is perhaps the reason why she was smiling so at the two of them, Da Qiao could tell that they are both very good friends!

“Shh! Bofu, you aren’t suppose to give away my secret like this!” She replied with a wink. Of course, she was trying to win over a few hearts by winning them over with food. Taking a quote from famous scholar Sun Tzu, the best way to get to know your opponents is through befriending them. Da Qiao did not view any of her fellow potential classmates as opponents but she the idea of befriending them stays the same.

Glancing over to Edge, Da Qiao had to ask what a 'slurpee' is. "Is that some sort of wine?" Oh, Qiao...you have so much to learn.

Ce mirked at Edge and rolled his eyes good-naturedly. He was still grinning though. "Yeah, yeah.... thanksforthat."

His grin widened as he turned his attention back to his wife. He feigned confusion for a brief second and replied, "Oh, was that a secret?" The look didn't last, and he didn't expect an answer of course, and soon enough he was smirking again. "Aw, don't worry, Da. They'll never figure it out."

“You never told me how lovely your wife was, Bofu.” Edge grinned a bit, he could easily make a comment about threesomes and like, but he had to act royal around the new face. That and she was a woman and was spared from the perverted comments. However, Sun Ce would get them all later and he better like it.

Though, really Edge was a bit apprehensive about Sun Ce’s wife being around. It made the fact that he had one actually real. Before, she was just a person in a far away land, not even half real, and now Edge would have to watch how much he flirted with Sun Ce. It was a sad day for the royal family of Eblan.

She playfully rolled her eyes at Bofu cute remark before focusing her attention upon Edge again once he complimented her. “You are quite a charmer!” Da Qiao replied with a little smile. “I am sure that such charming comments do not go to waste upon someone as humble as me.”

Sun Ce just snorted as if he could read Edge's mind. He could just imagine what the King of Eblan really wanted to say right now. What was said was enough for Ce to quirk an interesting look at the ninja. "I said I loved her, didn't I?" he said, actually looking at Da when he did so rather than Edge. He smiled down at her and winked.

As far as Edge flirting with his wife went... well, Edge hadn't crossed any lines so far. If he ever did the ninja would certainly know it. As much as he loved Edge, he loved his wife dearly and was quite possessive.

Possessive was an understatement, but as much as Edge considered crossing the line, he knew it was WEIRD. But, because Sun Ce was here he was just going to keep flirting with his wife. It was almost a game for him now. “Humble and beautiful! How did you ever end up with a cretin like Bofu?” Of course, he threw Sun Ce a teasing grin at that.

Though, Edge did wonder about it. Not that Sun Ce was some monster, but he seemed as flighty as Edge was himself. How could anyone ever marry someone like that?

Edge’s next words almost made the poor girl choke for she wasn’t sure if he was teasing or not! “O-oh, it just happened…” Wait. That’s a not a very good reply, is it? Quick to add some more to her previous reply, Da Qiao glanced nervously between Sun Ce and the King of Eblan as she told their story.

“He and Lord Zhou Yu feverishly courted both my sister and I for many days before we finally agreed to marry them! It was quite funny…Bofu can be quite poetic when he wants to be.”

Sun Ce just glared at Edge for his comment. He would have said something but he figured Da Qiao would defend him. He was instead surprised by her initial words, and a little embarrassed by her follow-up. He blushed slightly and thus the glare was ruined.

"Ahem... well, it's not anyone owes a ninja an explanation, so... Let's just ignore any further questions he has, beloved."
