Who? Ephraim of Renais and Innes of Frelia
What? Another game between these two long-time rivals
Where? Their room
Warnings Plot assisted obsession with each other.
Today was their challenge day, wasn't it? Ephraim had been thinking about it all day and, for some reason, felt far more excited for it than he should be. It was almost distracting and he could have sworn that he did not get anything out of his classes that morning. Their last match was a tennis match and although the game ended up in a stalemate as always Ephraim had to admit that Innes was really clever to figure out how to spin the ball like that. Or how accurate his shots were...
He really was something, wasn't he? A better rival than any man could ever ask for. In a way, Ephraim never really wanted either of them to ever succeed in a challenge. He hated to admit it, but they were...rather enjoyable. And as long as they all end in draws, it meant that he could look forward to more pleasant challenges in the future. Innes' pride wouldn't allow himself to be evenly matched with Ephraim. And this played wonderfully into Ephraim's hands.
The apartment was empty by the time that he had arrived with no sign of the silver-haired archer anywhere. He supposed it was a little early. Innes didn't get out of class until later today. He supposed that this was a good time to take a quick shower while his roommate was away.
