Ten year old Link can run into him.

Thankfully, Link's clothes had shrunk along with his body, so he didn't have to worry about wearing over-sized tunics or boots. He had crept out of the dorms, not wanting anyone to see him in such a state, but he was bored and needed to get out, so he headed for the park.

After wandering around a little bit, he saw a familiar face, only, it was smaller than what he remembered. "Sasuke? Is that you?"

Sasuke spun around and tried to reach for a star but found his pockets were empty. Panic ran through him as he found he was unarmed in this strange place. He hadn't even perfected his ninjutsu yet, how was he going to defend himself from danger??

"Stay back! Who are you? How do you know my name?" He studied the strange new face. He didn't recognize him from his ninja class, nor was he part of his clan. He could have been a spy from another village! A wide array of scenerios played out in his mind as his imagination started to run wild.

Link raised his hands to show he wasn't armed. Looks like Sasuke turned younger and reverted to his younger mind...and memories.

"I'm Link! We were roommates for a while, remember?" Of course he didn't. "Look, I don't want to hurt you or anything! I don't know what's going on either!"

This child Sasuke was a lot different from the Sasuke he roomed with. He wondered what had happened to transform him so much.

Sasuke studied him closely, "You don't know either?" His expression suddenly changed and his eyes went wide. "What if this was some sort of plan by a hostile village to collect all the kids and take them to a strange place so that they can't grow up to be ninjas and defeat them!" Oh yeah..imagination is in full gear.

"My brother will find me! He won't let them keep me here. He's the strongest ninja I know! He'll defeat the bad guys and take us back home." Pride and excitement crossed his face as he talked about his older brother.

Sasuke? With an...imagination?

"You might be right, but I really don't think that's what's going on. There aren't any ninjas where I come from." When they spared, Sasuke's moves definitely reminded him of the Sheikah, but still, they weren't ninjas.

He wanted to go on, but he sudden;y realized what his former roommate said. "Wait, you have a brother?" He had never mentioned any siblings, or any family for that matter.

Sasuke nodded enthusiastically, already forgetting the mention of not having any ninjas. "His name is Itachi and he is really smart and strong. I'm going to be just like him when I get big. He's only a few years older then me but he's already graduated from the ninja academy and is going on really cool missions."

Sasuke looked around, "So if we weren't captured..how did we get here?"

"Oh, ok. He sounds pretty neat." Why hadn't Sasuke mentioned Itachi before? He'd have to ask him later.

"We came here on our own. By some big metal thing with wheels. I think they call it a 'train.'" This was going to be hard to explain since Sasuke forgot all of his memories. He wanted to explain that they were really older, and some evil prank of some sort put them back in their younger bodies, but he was sure that would sound too crazy.

Because it was crazy.

"Maybe if we look around, we can find someone who knows what's going on."

[sasukesan]

Sasuke tilted his head a bit, "A train? I've never seen anything like that before. How could I have come here if I don't know what that is? But lets see if someone knows! And maybe I can see this..train thing."

Sasuke headed out across the park without even waiting for Link. He was ready to go home and he didn't care if he had to ask every person they encountered how to get there.

Link sighed and ran after the poor, little, confused Sasuke. "Hey, wait up!"

It wasn't to hard to catch up to the poor kid. Link was a bit taller than him now, being in a ten-year-old body instead of that of a seven-year-old. He seemed a bit distressed, so he tried to think of something for Sasuke to talk about to make him feel more comfortable. "So, what's it like where you come from?"

Sasuke slowed down a bit and looked up at the taller Link. "Link is a funny name. I don't know anyone with a name like that. My village is full of ninjas and I'm gonna be one of the greatest ninjas ever, just like my brother! I'm in school right now to learn how. I can't do too much right now...but someday I'll be able to use fire jutsu cause thats what my clan does. My clan is the strongest in the village! It is kind of like this place with the stores and stuff...but we weren't anywhere near water like I saw here."

Sasuke looked around for anyone who wasn't scary that he could ask about how to get home. Since he still wasn't sure how to use a lot of jutsu and his pockets were empty of any weapons he was afraid of walking up to the wrong person and being caught.

"You sure talk about ninjas and your brother a lot." He wasn't quite sure what a ninja was in the first place, but he figured they fought much like Sasuke did when he was older.

Link tried to flag down a few people to ask them what was going on, but they only shooed him away. He forgot how frustrating it was to be a kid, and it made him a bit angry. "This is impossible!" He looked back at Sasuke. It was strange to see how shy he was. He sighed and sat on the curb. What should they do now?

Sasuke sat down next to Link and looked up at him, "Are we done looking for a way home already? Thats giving up to easy. If I give up on my training like that then my brother will scold me. Wanna see what I can do??" He stood up and did his seals slowly and carefully. He was still learning this and hadn't quite mastered it yet but he was anxious to show off to his new friend. He lifted his hand to his mouth, and blew the fire from it for several seconds before letting it die. He panted a bit from the effort and plopped back down next to Link. "I think thats the best I've ever done it!"

Link watched Sasuke preform his...spell? It looked similar to Din's Fire, but with weird hand symbols. "That's pretty neat!"

He sighed a bit. "I'm not giving up. I'm trying to think of something else we can do to find help. We might have to go exploring ourselves and see if we can find anything." This wasn't a problem for Link. He had gone all over Hyrule by himself and been into a lot of secret corners that no one else had seen. He liked exploring, and he wouldn't mind helping Sasuke get back home. "What do you say to an adventure?"

[sasukesan]

"Adventure...?" Sasuke considered this for a few moments. He had never been outside his village before and the most exploring he had ever done was in the woods where he did his training. He needed slowly and looked back over at Link. "Like a mission! A mission to find our way home! Let's go!" Sasuke jumped back up to his feet with an enthusiasm that was not quite matched on the inside. In fact he wasn't too sure he wanted to go wandering around unfamiliar territory but if it would get him back home..he was willing to do it.

"Let's go!" Link grabbed Sasuke by the sleeve and started off towards the train station. Considering that was were they arrived, then it should also take them back where they came from, right.

The distance to the station seemed a lot longer now that he was shorter. It also made it more difficult as he had to dodge people twice his size to get through the streets. He kept looking over his shoulder, making sure the little ninja was still close to him. "I think I know a place that might help us get back to our homes. Come on!"

Sasuke followed along, his eyes scanning the crowds for anyone or anything familiar. He stayed as close to Link as he could as they weaved their way among the other people. He was willing to do anything to get back to his family even if he meant riding on some strange thing to do it.

As he was avoiding another person he tripped over a small rock and landed hard on his face. "Owwww.." He sniffled a bit as he sat up, wiping away a couple tears on his sleeve.
