Jimmy, meet yourself.

Went to the Games Convention Asia exhibition today, with the sibling. Wandered about like a kid in a candy shop. Both of us were quite taken with Lair: dragon-centric game for the PS3, incredibly gorgeous. However, same cannot be said for the controls. There was also a stage, on which was performed the most excruciating rendition of Sexyback I hope ( Read more... )

No, I haven't, but OMG that looks gorgeous *_* I don't usually watch fantasy films nowadays unless they've got really high production values like LotR. Did that movie already come out in the theaters? Why didn't I hear about it? T_T Reminds me of Dinotopia...I used to read that series a lot and wish I could live there XD (okay, so they're dinosaurs instead of dragons...whatever).

You never knew I liked dragons?!! Doesn't EVERY little kid grow up loving them? I was such a tomboy...I liked dinosaurs and dragons and I never played with dolls. I'm going to have to pick that series up when I have time; currently, I'm working on a long belated R.A. Salvatore trilogy that's been sitting on my bookcase for awhile.

OMG! I did Jurassic Park as my big English project in high school. Our group went all out - we dressed up as the characters (I was Dr. Wu...my fave character and first bishounen - from the book only! So disappointed when he died at the end. I love being the smart scientist), gave these detailed reports on why Jurassic Park should be built, I even brought in a model (from the board game I own) and made a video trailer in Adobe Premiere - my first video edit ever XD. It was a lot of fun. That book lives on in a special place in my memory.

KAWEKJRAWER And when is that? T_T The only reason to get a PS3 is for the Final Fantasies...sigh.

D-Wars' wiki entry (warning: spoilers) states that it was released in August 2007 in Korea. Says it's set for a September 14 release in the states. ;) My country has said absolutely nothing about it, so I can only imagine when it's coming out. ;)

! My brother loved Dinotopia! ;) I didn't, but I loved the artbooks. They were AMAZING.

XDDDD!! Eragon was a dragon movie! Did you watch it? Or got scared off by the horrible plot? XDD

XD! I didn't grow up liking dragons, quite the reverse! My brother is the dragon aficionado in the family. ;)

XD! Which R.A. Salvatore series is that? Does it involve Drizzt, or Artemis and Jarlaxle (whom I think are totally slashable)?

!!!!! MY HEAVENS I LOVE YOUR GROUP SO MUCH. ♥ Dr. Wu! Labcoats and pretty boys and an image that's a little Jade-esque (or Dist-esque, minus queeny screaming), except MUCH NICER AND MORE HUMAN. I love that you love intelligence. ♥ And your first video edit! I wish that could have been saved, or was saved! It's nice to look back on these things. ♥ !!! The book lives on in a happy place in my memories, too! ;) Wiki says it won't be til after March 2008: nice long wait for the PS3 price to drop and more games to come out. ;) And hopefully, for the LAIR price to dropm too! I can wait until games come out: but the problem is, they could be OUT OF STOCK by the time they're affordable! ;)

XD Thanks for the link! Well, why not...when it comes out, I suppose I'll have a fun little romp out with my sister to watch it. I'm planning on going home the week of the 21st to catch up a bit on gaming (also, because that's payday = spending spree DX).

If I find a ripped copy, I'll definitely upload it for you! And Dinotopia has the most ZOMGGORGEOUS ARTWORK. I remember just starring at it with glazed eyes in the library. I suppose I was always an artbook aficionado in that respect.

Ah, I didn't watch Eragon...the plot did indeed scare me off >_O and I hadn't read the book, either. The R.A. Salvatore series is The Spearwielder's Tale. I love the Drizzt series to death, I really need to go out and just buy up all of the books with him in it. He was my...D&D bishounen XD; I don't remember Artemis, and Jarlaxle only faintly in memory...The Spearwielder's Tale is really quite cute and the way it is written is pretty lighthearted and snarky. I love the sarcasm and snark. You should pick it up just as an aside if you get the time!

<3 <3 We need a slash D&D group. I'm actually going to it today.

Oh man, I wish I'd saved it too T_T My teacher was so impressed, she saved the trailer on her computer and used it at a teaching demo to illustrate how technology can be used in the classroom (never mind that I *cough* downloaded the pirated movie file for clips off of Kazaa). I have a specific image of Dr. Wu in my mind...it's like a young, pretty version of Hojo, to be honest XD with Jade-esque glasses! And yes, as my sister pointed out quite aptly, I am so predictable as to who I fall for - always the cool, collected intellectual with the sarcastic sense of humor. Hee hee~

That was also the first time I learned how to knot a tie X_X

Ahh, good, enough time for me to both save up and also get through exams and such ^^; How pricey are those PS3s anyway? I heard they cut the cheaper ones from the market...

Hey, you're a rich lawyer, you should be able to afford it! Otherwise, we'll just have to corner the gaming market.
