And we might drift away from this, but then, we might drift closer.

---

Lover, I want to melt snow with our body heat. Talk to me about
warm places and pockets where our fingers tangle around
loose coins and threads; tell me
about watching meteor showers in the fields and how
the grass was still warm from the day.

Lover, there are icebergs in our ocean, and I
don't know if our love's big enough for them. Tell me about
paddling to a different shore and skipping rocks there, and how
they travelled farther than you've ever seen and you
took one stone away with you as proof. Tell me
about lessons learnt and how
we're better people now, our little raft bound together
and still floating.

And how the world's
getting warmer and then there's us on the edge,
throwing pebbles like cupid's arrows and hoping
this time our aim is better.

I love him, you know. I love him.
