Welp, today was pretty interesting in regards to the job search. I turned in all the left over apps I had sitting around the house in strange places, some for department stores, some for community help distributers like Goodwill, any place that takes donation and is in the oakwood area. I haven't touched restaurants yet, I've still got 20 more places to fill out apps for.
Then my dad tells me they're hiring out at Hope Gospel. I know what it is, and I've been there more than once.
I thought it was just a normal place like Goodwill, but looking at the job app again I'm...stunned.
Amongst the staples of a good app, SSN, address, previous place of work, there's nearly a page of extras.
Who your pastor is, what church you attend, and what Jesus Christ means to you.
I stopped here of course because I do not have a pastor, I do not attend a church, and quite honestly how I feel about Jesus should have nothing to do with me wanting to serve the community and the homeless. |:
My dad was a little outraged that they may or may not hire me based on how how I answered these questions. I mean honestly, "How do you feel about working for an evangelical organization"
Could have gotten snippy, but that's how I got banned from places. D:
At least the popular boutiques around here don't ask your dress size and weight.
But I'm pretty sure they'll judge you if you're a size 6 versus 12.
