Happy Cinco de Mayo... a day late

May 06, 2006 08:39

The weekend has somehow approached again... so it's my typical Saturday morning routine where I lounge around for a bit, get ready then in a hurry, and then take my little journey up I-85 to my dad's house where I then celebrate my next 36 hours of "freedom" while I drive to work. So I guess it's really only about 12 hours of "freedom"... most of which are spent usually sleeping... from the time between my working hours without Caty. But whatever. Ramble Ramble.

Last night was a fun night. I was really tired and wanted to just come home and sleep but Debbie had mentioned dinner earlier and I longed for some good quality friend time. We were going to go to a little Mexican joint around the way from her house but we got there and it was already chaotic from the Cinco de Mayo festivities. Figuring that all places of the like would look very similar, we opted for Taco Mac. Not nearly as festive, but still taco-ish things on the menu. We called Carissa and invited her to join us. As always it was acceptable food, great laughs, and even better company. Most of the laughter stemmed from Caty and some silly game she had us all playing that she had made up. You had to say something really silly and then follow it with "stays here"... and then Caty would cackle loudly. The sillier the better. It was very reminiscent of all the "in my pants" games that we have played drunk many a time in the good ole days. There was all sorts of wrongness involved in our game. It was fabulous. That and our newly formed box of dirty crayon colors that we have somehow come up with... like Perineum Red, Blue Balls, You Should Really See Someone About That Yellow, Doo Doo Brown... to name a few. I am sure it is one of those things that was much funnier at the time than retold later on. Anyway... I had a great time. We got home around 10:00 and I crashed soooo hard.

No big plans on the weekend really except the normal "work" thing. I may just come home tonight and enjoy a movie and some cocktails or something and then sleep like a charm. We'll see...
