Today I spent the bulk of my day at my dad's house. I had really planned on just picking up Caty and then coming home and getting lots accomplished around the house. When I got to my dad's house, he had prepared some lunch which I wasn't really interested in eating. I sat there and talked to Caty and my dad while they ate. Then my dad asked me

I'm glad you're able to go through your old stuff. Just go through it slowly, and maybe make a box of stuff you really want to keep, yet don't want to look at all the time - for Caty.

And I really know what you mean about the food and holidays. Uhg.

Well I have put it off for 10 years already. I feel bad that my dad has had to hang onto all that junk for so long. He brings it up to me all the time... but I think he knew that I was never really ready to do that. Plus, I'd like for at least one of my brothers to be there with me so I don't dispose of anything that was important to them. It's just hard because we all live on different ends of the country. I guess we'll get around to it one of these days.
