Wednesday
I kept Caty home from school again today because she was super feverish this morning and I knew she didn't feel good. In fact, I didn't go to my meeting either because I didn't want to haul her in there feeling that way. I got her good and drugged up and we got rolling with breakfast and whatnot. We did end up going to work for a little bit to take Sarah her birthday cupcakes. Caty was feeling much better then. We were going to go on our "roadtrip" to get her medicine but decided to stop at home first. She laid right down on her little cot in the living room floor and fell asleep. Poor thing. So I guess I'll get a few things done and then we can go when she wakes up. I think I am going to buy some good paint and some good brushes while I am out and about today and really give these paintings for my living room a good stab. I haven't done it in years, but I used to be decent at blending and depicting color - surely I can do something fabulously abstract with great color tone to flow with my living room. I never was good with detailed paintings... like portraits and even landscapes. Abstract color I think I can do. I just need a great vision. Perhaps I'll scan through some of my art books and on the internet for a bit of inspiration.
