I really REALLY will post later about my last couple of weeks... but for now what is on my mind are a few of my short term life goals.  Caty and I had such a fabulous time this last week.  We got a 4 star hotel room in DC and had an incredible girls night and day.  We went to the Kennedy Center and saw Wicked, went to a fabulous restaurant and had an incredible meal, and spent the rest of the time just enjoying each other's company.  It made me so glad that I had been planful of our little trip and didn't have to stress over it.... and we made so many great little memories.  It got me thinking that I really need to be better about planning our little trips and vacations.  I know that I always take off one full weekend a month and generally we end up stumbling upon that weekend with very little plans.  So.... I have decided that I will go ahead and start mapping out some fun things that we can do.  Some may be local... some may not be.  Some may be familiar.... some may be new experiences.  But we will take the time to enjoy life and savor every moment.  For the next 2 months we do have plans.  Later I will sit down and make a list of other things we would like to get in.  Suggestions always welcome!

August 19-23:  Heading to Atlanta to see friends and such one last time before Caty starts back to school.  (familiar)
September 10-11:  Getting a hotel in Annapolis, MD and going to the Maryland Seafood Festival followed by a day on the harbor on Sunday

Some ideas of things we would like to get in there at some time:  Vegas (not for Caty... but I'd like to meet some friends there as I've never been.  Not that I REALLY think that the Vegas scene is my deal... but it'd be a great experience and memories I think), New Orleans (during Mardi Gras?), New Years in NYC?, Amish Country in PA (I've never been and would love for Caty to experience), Williamsburg, VA (perhaps sometime in the Fall or Winter?), a fun beach trip.

Excited to do a bit more research later!
