Neighborhood Relations and Honeymoons

For some reason, it's a lot more awkward to go yell and my neighbors for playing loud music in the middle of the night (which they do every single night) now that I'm on friendly terms with them than it was back when they were just 'those assholes downstairs".

Damn courtesy.

When we had similar neighbors, my tactic, if we were on good terms, was to go downstairs, looking really awful (pajamas, messed up hair, absolutely haunted, stricken expression) and say, "I'm so sorry, guys, but I've got a huge migraine, and I was wondering if you could turn it down?"

There was one day that we had really asshole neighbors, and when I asked them to turn down the music that was shaking my WHOLE apartment with bass, I really DID have a migraine, and I was sobbing. It really freaked the guy out, haha.

Rick actually does get migraines, and he's murderous when he has one. I'll have to try that technique.
