The bodice finally fits! {REALLY BIG GRIN} It may not fit as well as my friends who do Renaissance fairs would like a bodice to, but it fits well enough for me, and Mom, and Dad. It's certainly well enough for next Sunday {Smile}
I thought of a spot to put a pair of tucks last night. It worked pretty well with safety pins. Then Mom tacked it down by hand, and I followed that with machine stitching. I hope that will hold. {cross fingers}
If you're wondering about "next Sunday," I was the only one at AD&D who wore a costume last Sunday. Maeve warned us that hers wasn't ready yet. John didn't wasn't sure whether I meant last Sunday or this coming Sunday, so he thought he'd come in costume next Sunday. So we'll try again. And I'll finally get to wear the bodice and have it fit. {BIG SMILE}
Oh, and if anyone is wondering, the bodice is a fairly bright red twill, as is the muffin cap. They're both commercial. The shift is full length and a somewhat darkish green. No, I don't mind wearing Christmas colors at any time of year. They happen to be my favorite colors, so I'm not worried about not being in season. {BIG SMILE}.
