1. Leave me a casual comment of no particular significance, like a lyric to your current favorite song, your favorite kind of sandwich, or maybe your favorite game. Any remark, meaningless or not.
2. I will respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in your own post.
5. When others respond with a desultory comment, you will ask them five questions.

1) Pick one fandom we share and tell me how you got into it.

Hmm, Harry Potter? I don't know what else we have in common.... It's been so long... everyone was reading it, so I had to, too. Mom kept telling us we already had the books, but she was thinking of something else.

2) Would you rather be with someone of your preferred sex who didn't really give a shit but was drop-dead gorgeous, or someone not of your preferred sex who'd give you the stars on a plate if you asked? (And by "be with" I mean "be in a romantic relationship with.")

...somehow, looks really don't matter to me. I mean, I notice when someone's pretty, but they'd have to be really disfigured for it to bother me. On the other hand, if they're obsessive about me, but I'm not the same about them, that's weird, too. What I'd like is someone I can be passionate about, who won't screw me over. The harder I fall for someone, the more they hurt me. (uh... I might still be healing from the last one....) I'd like to try a relationship with a girl sometime just to see what it's like. Some days I'm sure I'm straight, some days I think I just haven't found the right girl yet, you know?

3) What was the last book you read? What'd you think of it?

Making Money, by Terry Pratchett. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D, basically. I'm a huge fan of Terry Pratchett, and every time it's been a long time since I've read anything by him, I worry if maybe I was just exaggerating his awesomeness to myself, and can this book really live up to the hype? And yes. Yes, it can. Let's all donate all our money to Alzheimer's research so we can fix him.

4) Tell me where your default icon comes from.

Neil Gaiman's Sandman. That's Delirium. From "Two Septembers and a January," I think. Again, I'm a huge fan NGaiman, but not as big a fan as of TPratchett, and I haven't read as much by him yet.

5) What's your favorite color?

Purple. Though I like green, too. Sometimes red is nice. Jewel-tones. And black.
